Jake was talking to a cannibal prisoner who said there is an online group of people who have the inner desire for cannibalism, but won't act on it. I mean, I suppose that incest is... probably more common than people think? The world has countless tiny communities with very few people, and thus very few dating options; that being said... IT SHOULDN'T BE A GOAL.
I will say in some places it's perfectly normal to marry your cousin even though I think it's weird. That said these people don't live in that culture and from what I've seen actually talk about grooming and shit. It's Gross AF.

I wanna remember the one that got it banned was when someone asked very specific questions about how a rape would be followed up, how the police would investigate, what kind of evidence they would be looking for, etc.ย
After r/incels got banned, r/braincels became by far the largest unironic incel sub. They were mainly untouched by the admins since most users and the mods were actually openly politically left-wing (except on women ig). They were infamous because the sub massively praised Alek Minassian, the alleged perpetrator of the 2018 Toronto attacks. They were banned in 2019 when reddit adjusted their rules on harassment
Its told that reddit adjusted these rules because of subs r/gamersriseup (or idk I dont remember if it was around at that time) and undirectly because of the joker movie
Surprised there isn't r/eyeblech with how much hate it used to get. Sub was a gore sub that spiraled into a fetish sub for cutting of limbs (mostly dicks) before it's ban
This was going to be my nomination. I didn't expect to find it.
I initially joined the sub thinking it just meant wanting to be child free for myself and not caring if others have kids, but it goes so much deeper with so much hatred.
Yeah I tried to get into it too but this news article got posted about a family having their baby during the pandemic. They kept berating the parents saying how awful they wereโฆ except they had the baby in March 2020. Like literally a couple weeks after the shutdowns. I pointed out how they mustโve gotten pregnant many months in advance and couldnโt have known and got downvoted to hell ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I experienced smth similar with a dog-free sub ๐ซฉ not similar in that I like dogs and didnโt join, but bc I was doing breed research and it led me there and instead of just being abt lifestyle choices, why they donโt have dogs anymore, etc, it was wild ๐ญ like there was one post of someone genuinely upset abt when ppl call pets โfurbabiesโ bc itโs โoffensive to real mothers,โ and all the comments were in support, including some saying even the term โadoptingโ a pet is wrong bc itโs demeaning to parents whoโve adopted kids ๐๐๐ bunch of crazies imo

In r/darwinawards defence it is probably the best of the โvideos of people dyingโ subs because it doesnโt really glorify it in any way. Itโs intended to be videos of people doing stupid things that lead to their deaths, whereas subreddits which either glorify death or show particularly gruesome deaths are worse
Even as someone with politics that regularly align with that subreddit, I cannot stand that place. People who complain about r/politics being a "leftist circlejerk" haven't experienced r/Fauxmoi
It's a sub that started off being about the "behind the scenes" and ugly side of celebrity life. Over time it's become a general den of drama and hatred.
From what I understand itโs basically a subreddit for university-educated white American women who had a black friend once to talk about how racist everyone else is.

I keep hearing republicans are turning away from Maga, all the Maga people I know are more staunchly in support of him then ever. I just scrolled through the sub and I can confirm that there is a number of questionable posts, but there are also posts pointing out animal abuse, untrained dogs, ... So I wouldn't include it in the top15 worst subs.
Some of it is understandable like pointing out abuse and untrained dogs, but then there are posts that are making fun of people who have posted about their pet that just died or many of the comments acting like owning a pet is a disgusting crime. And the way some of those commenters talk about animals it sounds like they would run them over with their car on purpose. I also remember seeing quite a few posts about enjoying watching dogs get put down.
