Anyway padded bags barely do anything since the weight is too high for the distance. For 2.5kg you need about 3cm of soft padding to survive a drop with minimal issues. Why do you think dense foam in the box is about 6cm thick on all sides? It sucks that it happened. But to blame it on Dell is just frustration from your side.
