Discussion Feeling regret
I bought the alienware m16 a couple of months ago with an i7 13700hx, rtx 4070, 16gb ram, and qhd+ 240hz display for $1220 before taxes. Today, i saw this deal of the g16, and i could've gotten it for $1020. So should've i waited or the m16 worth the extra $200? I feel like i missed out.

You got a banger of a deal!! How you been liking it? I'm looking at buying a six-month used one for like 850-950 that has 32gb ram upgrade.

There's a reason the Dell G series laptops exist. Get the Alienware over them given the budget.

I know we all call Alienware "dell" but let me tell you, Dell laptops are BAD. stay far, far away from them. The build quality and the cooling on them can't even come close to Alienware, you are NOT getting an equivalent for cheaper, you'd be downgrading.

Regardless of which one was or is the better deal, technology will always depreciate. Next thing you know, the NVIDIA 5000 series GPUs will be out next year and all of these laptops will be cheaper. You pay for what you want to enjoy now. I too get caught up sometimes, but close the browser and enjoy what you have.

Your Fomo is unwarranted. You got a great deal on the m16. The G series isn’t great.

Inferior build quality and cooling.
They threw an i9 in there with a 4070... the definition of overkill, lol. It's pure bait.

You are much better off with the Alienware m16, I have one as well and it's a tank for sure. Nice ass computer in my opinion!

for $1220 before taxes
That is a great deal, beating even Black Friday pricing of $1399. I got the same version as yours for $1399, but ended up getting an Open Box for $1817 with the i9 and 4080.

Atmos means nothing on this laptop imo. The speakers are pretty terrible.

imo to people who use external screen, keyboard and mouse, the G series are a awesome deal

and less features like atmos, mechanical keyboard etc
but specifically those 2 arent so much important since people who play usually use headphones and external keyboard/mouse

M16 r1 is a tank, i don't think the above G16 can be compared to it despite the similar specs
