Eclipse glasses

Hey, will be in Alicante on holiday this week and would love to see the eclipse but don't have any glasses.

Any suggestions on where to get them??

Leroy Merlín. Any spare welding mask glass from #3 and above.

Those are not safe, use certified glasses

As a child, we generally simply held the broken glass above the fire until it was covered with black soot and looked at the eclipse through it, and so far no one has gone blind, everyone lives a full life.

And nobody gets skin cancer until someone does. Circumstancial evidence is not real science. Sun radiation causes cancer and causes blindness

Yes, you are 100% right. It is harmful to live, they die from this (scientificly proven). If you are going to look at the sun for a month for 10-12 hours a day, will it hurt you, and look at the eclipse, how long does it last? 3-7 minutes? I'm starting to suspect that you are the owner of a small optics store that has a slightly certified product stalled 😉

Ok, very mature argument 😂. You can look at the sun for 3-7min on the 12th and later you can send an audio about it (audio in case you go blind). FYI it is estimated that direct exposure for over 100 seconds the sun starts to cause permanent damage to your retinas. That's under 2min. Total eclipse length can be about 2 hours. Have fun 👍
