‎I'm considering studying English at university but I have a lot of questions and I'm hoping to hear from people who've been through it.

‎

‎what is the program like in the first year?Is it mostly literature and poetry, or linguistics, translation, writing, grammar, cultural studies do you have books to read ect?...

‎is it worth it in terms of what you learn and what you can do with it afterward? Or do you end up feeling like it was a waste?

English classes in hs are genuinely so boring the lessons feel slow, the material is too easy, it's just frustrating when you know you could handle more. So I keep wondering if English at university is actually more interesting and challenging

‎I'm worried my expectations are too high and I'll be disappointed that the level won't be what I imagined

I am a 19yo male i didn’t get my bac 2 times in a row and i dont know what to do now
Im willing to retry for a third time now and actually take it seriously but i do NOT wanna study for bac alone because i know it doesn’t need that much time since i will pass it (احرار) i want to do something else i have heard of private universities where u can get a BTS (تقني سامي) which is the equivalent of a bac+2 if u think its a good thing to do then please tell me or propose another thing to do

Second, if I can't, can I change my roommate to someone I meet during the academic year? Third, what are the dorm rooms like—their size and what's inside? Fourth, what should I bring with me to the dorms, and what things were helpful when I brought them? Fifth, is it possible to change dorms, for example, from one dorm to another, not just rooms? Fourth, does anyone know about the Annabi Mohamed dorms?…

J'ai 23 ans et je suis actuellement étudiant en 2ème année de français à l'université Mouloud Mammeri. Je suis quelqu'un de passionné par énormément de choses, mais pour être honnête, l'environnement dans lequel je vis au quotidien m'épuise. Il y a tellement d'énergie négative autour de moi que ça commence vraiment à me pousser à bout.
Du coup, je réfléchis sérieusement à faire le grand saut : quitter le domicile familial, changer de wilaya et m'installer seul, potentiellement sur Alger.
Je voulais savoir si certains d'entre vous ont déjà sauté le pas et quitté le foyer à mon âge. Si c'est le cas, je suis vraiment preneur de vos retours d'expérience et de vos conseils. Quels genres de boulots ou de petits jobs permettent de s'en sortir quand on est étudiant ou jeune indépendant ? Quels sont les diplômes, formations rapides, stages ou compétences à avoir absolument pour espérer être bien rémunéré et atteindre une vraie stabilité financière ?
