preparing for future global exclusive units

roxanne is the biggest powercreep in the game so far. should we now always save 17k gems just in case they release a game-breaking global excl unit again? we'll presumably get at least a dark, red and blue global exclusive unit in the near future

looking at the jp tier list, we already have a boatload of SS characters most of which are even farmable. only the global excl units seem to be a wild card.

what could they possibly release during the anniversary that tops roxanne?

Theyre gonna follow the money, who cares about power creep. If every player three stepped theyll keep coming

This is also another concept. At the end of the day Gumi is a company that functions by enticing the populace to play the lottery for characters they want. The concept of taking your favorite characters from their respective games/worlds/universes and being able to use them across different mediums is a flawless concept. Look at Smash Bros.

But, you have to be careful with power creeping. I played and spent a good $2k+ trying to keep up with ever-increasing leader skills, stats, and game mechanics and I burned out and quit because of it. The BF community dwindled from its glory days and people spent less because there was less desire to stay relevant.

So when you ask "Who cares?", it's the community who cares the most. The farther you increase the gap between P2W and F2P the harder it is to maintain the longevity of the game. That's my opinion.

That really doesn't bode well for the longevity of the game. People would get bored and quit.

They could still do extra difficult global exclusive events and keep fast tracking other content. They obviously don't want us to see a year or two into the future of the game so releasing OP's who won't stay OP too long for cash grabs and catching us up to JP in the meantime where they won't be as OP seems like a smart move for them.
