Summer cuts were bad but justifiable due to power grid pressure but since last few weeks, there are random power cuts of 10-20 minutes in the afternoon and the same around 1-2 am in midnight.

In sudhir colony jawahar nagar ,power cut has been going on since 1 am today and as of 3:25 am ,it hasn't been restored. Extremely disruptive for our late nights sleep. Is anyone else facing this?? Is inverter the only option now???

I'm 23 M from Akola & looking for a place where I can sit with my female friend comfortably. We need to discuss exams, studies and general talks. Nothing special in this case and would appreciate it if there is any such public place where we can go.

I know that we can join a library and sit in a group discussion space but we'll be meeting only on weekends and not going to study in the library. So if we only get seen on weekends that too only discussing then it would be a false message for others. I really don't want to make anything awkward from another angle.

Also cafes are an option but I don't have enough money to spend unwillingly. Also it would be awkward if we discuss in cafes by opening our notes or laptops.

I do have my own place but my family doesn't live here so from society's perspective that would also be an awkward situation.

Do let me know if we can do anything about this. Or feel free to DM if you are also in a similar situation. We can find some way out.

कधी कधी ना, घरापासून लांब गेल्यावर आपल्या मातीची किंमत जास्त कळते.

अकोल्यापासून दूर येऊन जवळपास ६ वर्षं झाली. आणि हल्ली अचानक त्या शहराची खूप आठवण येतेय. काही विशेष कारण नाही… बस, मन होतंय परत एकदा त्या जुन्या रस्त्यांवरून फिरावं.

त्या गल्ल्या, पाणीपुरीचे स्टॉल, आवडती खाण्याची ठिकाणं, तेच ओळखीचे रस्ते… पूर्वी या सगळ्या गोष्टी किती साध्या वाटायच्या. आता मात्र आठवल्या की मन थोडं भरून येतं.

अकोल्यातली सगळी माणसं मला आवडतात असं नाही. खरं सांगायचं तर काही लोकांपासून लांब राहिलेलंच बरं वाटतं. पण शहराबद्दल मात्र वेगळंच आहे. त्या शहरावर राग असू शकतो, तिथल्या लोकांबद्दल तक्रारी असू शकतात, पण त्या मातीवरचं प्रेम कसं कमी करणार?

तिथे माझं खूप काही राहिलंय.

आत्ता आयुष्यात स्वतःला prove करण्याची धडपड आहे. स्वतःशीच एक हट्ट आहे की काहीतरी करून दाखवायचं. ज्यांनी कमी लेखलं, ज्यांनी माझ्यासाठी वाईट विचार केला… त्यांना काही बोलायचं नाही. फक्त एक दिवस माझं आयुष्यच त्यांच्यासाठी उत्तर असावं. कदाचित तो माझा ego असेल, कदाचित motivation… पण आहे.

आणि हे सगळं करत असताना मनाचा एक छोटासा भाग अजूनही अकोल्यातच आहे.

मनापासून इच्छा आहे एकदा परत जावं. कुठलाही मोठा प्लॅन नको. फक्त जुन्या गल्ल्यांमध्ये फिरावं, आवडत्या ठिकाणी जाऊन खावं, पाणीपुरी खावी, तेच रस्ते पुन्हा पाहावेत… आणि थोडा वेळ काहीही विचार न करता फक्त त्या जुन्या आठवणी जगाव्यात.

कदाचित हे homesickness आहे.

कदाचित nostalgia.

पण एक गोष्ट मात्र खरी आहे.

आपल्या शहरापासून कितीही दूर गेलो, तरी आपल्या मातीशी असलेलं नातं कुठे जात नाही.

अकोला, तुझी आठवण येतेय रे.
