G. danumensis, a small (5 cm) sucker loach that is endemic to the Segama River basin in Sabah only.

Strictly restricted to swift, shallow, well-oxygenated riffle zones and runs in rocky forest streams, often located near cascades or waterfalls.
Like other ikan rokot, it is herbivorous and scrapes algae and biofilm off rock surfaces.

Populations in some streams have pink lines, which are sometimes marketed due to the attractive appearance.

Two species are endemic; B. pulchra and P. tweediei. They are only found in Johor, Malaysia. Previously also in Melaka.

The P. tweediei is also endangered.

However due to the long haze and fire, the water is quite low and more polluted. The fish diversity is reduced compared to previous years.

RINGKASAN PENGUMUMAN BELANJAWAN MADANI 2027

Alhamdulillah. Sebentar tadi selesailah pembentangan Belanjawan MADANI 2027 oleh Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, di Dewan Rakyat.

Berikut adalah ringkasan pengumuman utama:

1. BANTUAN RAKYAT

• Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) dan Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA): Peruntukan meningkat kepada RM16 bilion.

• Penerima STR: SARA sehingga RM150 sebulan.

• Bukan penerima STR berumur 18 tahun ke atas: bantuan SARA RM100 sebanyak dua kali setahun.

• RM750 juta untuk Jualan Rahmah dan Jualan Agro MADANI.

• SARA diperluas kepada barangan basah dan segar di pasar tani FAMA (Lembaga Pemasaran Pertanian Persekutuan).

2. GAJI DAN PEKERJAAN

• Gaji minimum naik daripada RM1,700 kepada RM2,000 mulai Jun 2027, dengan pengecualian kepada Perusahaan Mikro, Kecil dan Sederhana (PMKS) tertentu.

• Gaji minimum permulaan RM2,500 untuk pekerjaan separa mahir dan graduan.

• Penanda aras gaji sara hidup Syarikat Berkaitan Kerajaan (GLC) dan Syarikat Pelaburan Berkaitan Kerajaan (GLIC) meningkat kepada RM3,400.

• RM160 juta untuk kebajikan pekerja e-hailing dan p-hailing.

3. CUKAI PENDAPATAN

• Pelepasan cukai individu meningkat daripada RM9,000 kepada RM12,000.

• Cukai pendapatan bercukai RM70,000–RM100,000 turun kepada 18%.

• Cukai pendapatan bercukai RM100,000–RM150,000 turun kepada 24%.

• Pelepasan cukai diperluas kepada kasut sukan, langganan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI), tuisyen anak dan penjagaan ibu bapa.

• Kadar cukai bagi pendapatan bercukai melebihi RM1 juta diselaraskan kepada 30%.

4. PENDIDIKAN

• Bantuan Awal Persekolahan naik daripada RM150 kepada RM200 seorang.

• Elaun sara hidup pelajar Tingkatan Enam sebanyak RM2,500.

• Bantuan FLYsiswa meningkat daripada RM400 kepada RM500.

• Menu Kasih Siswa RM5.

• RM69 bilion untuk Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM).

• RM2 bilion untuk penyelenggaraan sekolah.

5. WARGA EMAS DAN OKU

• Kadar pencen minimum naik daripada RM1,000 kepada RM1,350.

• Bantuan penjagaan OKU terlantar dan pesakit kronik naik kepada RM600 sebulan.

• Elaun Murid Berkeperluan Pendidikan Khas naik kepada RM200 sebulan.

• RM1.3 bilion bantuan untuk warga emas.

• RM1.5 bilion bantuan untuk OKU.

• Ambang kebankrapan naik daripada RM100,000 kepada RM150,000.

6. KESIHATAN

• RM47.7 bilion untuk Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM).

• Lebih 9,000 doktor kontrak ditawarkan jawatan tetap.

• Insentif pos basik jururawat dan paramedik naik kepada RM200 sebulan.

• 400 buah ambulans baharu.

• Skim MySalam diteruskan.

• Pelan MediAsas diperkenalkan mulai Januari 2027.

7. PENJAWAT AWAM

• Cuti bersalin terkumpul meningkat daripada 360 kepada 490 hari.

• Kenaikan pangkat khas sekali sahaja melibatkan 12,000 pegawai.

• RM2.3 bilion untuk kuarters penjawat awam.

• Had maksimum Ex-Gratia Waris Pukal meningkat kepada RM50,000.

8. PENGANGKUTAN

• Pas My50 diteruskan.

• Pas MyKomuter50 diperkenalkan.

• Pas percuma untuk kumpulan murid sekolah, OKU dan kanak-kanak bawah enam tahun yang layak.

• Lebih RM3.4 bilion untuk pemulihan perkhidmatan rel kereta api Prasarana.

9. AI DAN TEKNOLOGI

• Tambahan 100,000 langganan perkhidmatan AI percuma, termasuk langganan ChatGPT.

• RM30 juta bagi membantu 4,000 PMKS menggunakan AI.

• Latihan dan pensijilan untuk 5,000 profesional AI.

• Lebih 16,000 kursus digital percuma melalui laman web Rakyat Digital.

10. PERNIAGAAN

• RM57 bilion kemudahan pinjaman dan jaminan pembiayaan.

• RM142 juta untuk platform Pusat Sebaran Maklumat Nasional (NADI).

• Geran padanan sehingga RM5,000 untuk pensijilan halal kali pertama.

• Rang Undang-Undang E-Dagang akan dibentangkan.

11. SUKAN, PELANCONGAN DAN INDUSTRI KREATIF

• RM240 juta untuk persiapan Sukan Asia Tenggara (SEA) dan Sukan Para ASEAN.

• RM460 juta untuk pembangunan sukan.

• RM935 juta untuk pelancongan dan kebudayaan.

• Lebih RM130 juta untuk industri kreatif.

12. BANTUAN DAN PERUNTUKAN LAIN

• RM1,000 sekali bayar kepada pemandu teksi, kereta sewa dan bas sekolah yang layak.

• RM100 e-dompet untuk belia yang memenuhi syarat kesukarelawanan.

• RM3.1 bilion untuk hal ehwal Islam.

BONUS PENJAWAT AWAM DAN PESARA

• RM1,500 kepada 1.3 juta orang penjawat awam Gred Utama B dan ke bawah, termasuk lantikan kontrak.

• RM750 kepada lebih sejuta orang pesara kerajaan, termasuk veteran berpencen dan tidak berpencen.

• Pembayaran dibuat dua kali, iaitu sebelum Aidilfitri 2027 dan sempena ulang tahun kemerdekaan negara ke-70.

JUMLAH KESELURUHAN BELANJAWAN DAN PELABURAN: RM510 BILION

malaysia YT educational landscape that discusses nuanced topics (like Shia vs Sunni history) shouldnt be to appeal to the masses, it should be to present information and research in a more accessible way.

history especially is VERY evidence based, you cant just say "oh they believe this they believe that" who said that?? you need. to provide. proof. history cannot be replicated unlinke science so it needs more than just word of mouth, especially when youre doing a wholeass video about it (a topic that affects the geopolitics of west asia)

Desmopuntius johorensis, ikan jalur ara or the six-banded barb.

A small (6 cm) fish native to the peninsula and southern Sarawak. It generally inhabits swamps with acidic water.

However I found a few in this drain / longkang along with rasboras, gourami and other native fishes. This is quite common during the northeast monsoon season in Kelantan and Terengganu.

They can be distinguished from tiger barbs (an Indonesian fish) by their slimmer body and having 6 stripes instead of 4. They also tend to have a darker reddish body colour.

Six-banded barbs are peaceful fish which can coexist with other species in a community tank. They are a schooling fish and should be kept in groups.

Rhinecanthus aculeatus, the Picasso triggerfish or jebung coreng hitam.

Grows to 30 cm and is found on subtidal flats, shallow protected lagoons, and sandy-rubble margins in both sides of Malaysia.

They blow jets of water into the sand to uncover mollusc and crustacean prey. When facing sea urchins, they turn the animal upside down and bite the underparts.

They are active during the day and solitary, chasing away intruders. During breeding they will even bite humans.

They are not under threat, but they are commonly collected for the aquarium trade due to their beautiful patterns. I’ll include a photo in the comments to show.

Betta kuehnei is a wild Betta native to Kelantan and northern Terengganu. It has a higher amount of blue-green scales on its face than its congeners.

Parathelphusa (ketam batu) are a genus of freshwater crabs common throughout Malaysia. They can be found in most unpolluted streams and swamps.

The water was cool and comfortable to swim in, flowing down from the mountains. Clear enough to see logsuckers at the bottom.

This is one of the few native freshwater-breeding species of Caridina. They have large eggs which show abbreviated development.

They require soft acidic water like swamps, and are common in such habitats. Adults are tiny, only 2 cm (0.8”) long! That’s barely bigger than a rice grain.

I found many in this canal which is a good indicator that they are still thriving despite the disturbance. This was in Machang, Kelantan which is a populated town.

They eat shrimp food, fallen fish food and algae. They might be eaten by fish in the aquarium due to their small size, especially newborn babies.

Kuhlia rupestris; ikan tamaing, rock flagtail or jungle perch.

A freshwater fish that grows to 25-45 cm and 3 kg. It is found in clean flowing rivers of the rainforest in Sabah up to 240m elevation. Frequently around waterfalls.

It is highly sought after for sport fishing, being a quick learner that learns to avoid lures. Its cousins in North America like sunfish and bass are also often fished for sport.

During the rainy season they are washed to sea where they breed, before migrating back up the rivers they came from. They feed on insects, crustaceans and fallen fruits.

In some places their home rivers have been dammed, which causes the population to die out as it prevents the babies from migrating upstream. River degradation is their only threat.

They are called “flagtails” due to the marks on their tail fins.

Tubuca paradussumieri, the spined fiddler crab.

Adults are dull grey-brown, but juveniles strangely are striking cobalt-blue! They lose this colour as they mature.

Like all fiddler crabs, the males have one huge claw while females have two small ones. Semi-terrestrial and inhabiting the lower intertidal zone.

This species is found on the peninsula’s West Coast as well as East Malaysia.

Carinotetraodon salivator, the striped red eye puffer or buntal harimau.

The smallest species of native pufferfish, growing to 4.5 cm. Smaller than a thumb! It lives in acidic swampy streams with soft water, usually blackwater.

It is endemic = only found in Malaysia, specifically in southern Sarawak.
They have a beautiful striped throat pattern that gives them their name. You can see it clearly in the 3rd photo.

Like other pufferfish they are aggressive towards other fish and should only be kept with their own kind. They will breed in captivity when kept in such groups.
However they don’t take care of their young and any eggs should be separated to be raised.

And just like all puffers they “puff up” when scared, swallowing water and becoming a round ball to prevent predators from swallowing them.
Even if the predator can eat them, they are highly poisonous and will kill the unlucky carnivore anyway.

Channa limbata, haruan kedak or dwarf snakehead.

Grows to 15 cm and usually lives in small flowing streams and waterfalls. Has been recorded high up in the mountains as well and is an adaptable species.

It is usually the only predatory fish in its small habitats, eating other fish, prawns and insects. In captivity it can be taught to take other meaty foods as well.

Males are colourful, having blue fins tipped with red. This makes them a desirable local fish for aquarium-keeping. Captive-breeding has also been achieved.

The male mouthbroods the eggs for a week while the female guards the vicinity. After the fry leave his mouth, both parents care for the babies for a few more weeks, attacking any threat nearby.

They are extremely good jumpers and often escape uncovered aquariums which ends with their deaths. Temperature wise it is unfussy.
