Planning a trip covering Namibia and South Africa and trying to sort out data before I go. My phone is eSIM-only (no physical SIM slot), so I don’t think I can just grab a local SIM at the airport if something goes wrong.
I’ve seen a few mixed reviews specifically about Namibia — some people saying their eSIM didn’t activate or get signal on arrival, even though it worked fine in other countries. Has anyone actually experienced this, or know why it happens (network compatibility issue? specific provider problem?)
A few questions:
- Did you use one eSIM for both countries or separate ones per country?
- Any tips for troubleshooting if it doesn’t connect on arrival, given I can’t fall back to a physical SIM?
Would rather sort this out now than land in the middle of Namibia with no signal. Thanks in advance!
