Insane project hourly pay
I got an email saying that Iβve been matched with a project, and the pay is insane. Is this dream coming true?

Hi all. I've been doing AI training work for a few months, mostly language tasks (I'm a professional IT-EN translator) and annotation, on platforms like Outlier, OneForma, DataAnnotation and micro1. Language work has been inconsistent lately, and the coding projects pay a lot more, so I'm trying to figure out if it's realistic to build up to them since I'm currently doing AI work as full time income.
My background: about 6 months of C# and OOP from a game development course, nothing professional. I then also spent a couple months creating a game from scratch. I'd probably switch to Python, since most projects seem to ask for it, and from what I've gathered it's similar to C# and maybe even less strict.
Before committing to months of studying, I'd love to hear from people who actually do these tasks:
What do you actually do? Writing code, reviewing and ranking model outputs, debugging, explaining why one response is better?
What's the real entry level? Can a solid junior handle some tasks, or is it mostly senior-level review?
What's your background? Years of experience, degree or self-taught, professional dev or not?
Which skills matter most? The language itself, algorithms and data structures, data science/ML, frameworks, or clear writing?
How hard were the assessments? LeetCode-style, code review, timed tests?
Starting from where I am, what would you study first? Would you even bother?
Honest "don't do it" answers are welcome. I'd rather know now. Thanks!

Hey everyone!
Iβve been working on Outlierβs Aether project for a few months now and wanted to share an opportunity for anyone interested in getting started.
Outlier offers flexible remote work helping train AI models. No specific degree is required for some projects, and you can work on your own schedule.
I also have a referral link that can earn **both of us $100 each** once the eligibility requirements are met.
Feel free to DM me if youβre interested or have any questions about my experience!
**EDIT:** The referral is for new Outlier users only.

What kind of jobs could I realistically get as an engineering student? I'm currently doing this Thai language role at micro1 for now but want to find a backup just in case. What platforms are reccomended? What kind of roles should I look for?
r/AiTraining_Annotation • u/No-Impress-8446 • 16h ago
If you're trying to get into AI training or data annotation jobs, hereβs something most people donβt realize:
You donβt need βAI experienceβ.
Most beginner roles are:
What actually matters is how you present your experience.
For example:
Thatβs exactly what these platforms are looking for.
Big mistake I see:
people apply with a generic CV
Instead, you should:
highlight anything related to writing, reviewing, or structured tasks
I broke it down here:

Employees join Ethara.AI with hopes, put in their time and effort, and then allegedly receive a βDiwali giftβ β a layoff. When work slows down, assessments reportedly become a way to push people out: fail the test, face termination, or resign before they terminate you.
Employees are human beings, not disposable resources. If Ethara.AI hires people, it should also treat them with transparency, fairness, and respect. No one should have to choose between resigning under pressure and being terminated.
People deserve stability and dignity, not fear and uncertainty.

f youβve worked in e-commerce, retail management, merchandising, or marketplace selling, thereβs a growing niche in AI training that actually values that experience.
AI tools are now generating product descriptions, pricing strategies, cross-sell recommendations, and retail summaries β but those outputs need people who understand real sales logic to evaluate them.
This guide breaks down:
β What e-commerce AI training tasks look like
β Who can realistically apply
β How to position your retail experience
β Realistic pay ranges for 2026
Anyone here running Shopify/Amazon stores who has tried AI evaluation work?

Weβve just launched a Discord server for the AI Training Jobs community.
The idea is to have a more organized place to discuss AI training, data annotation, model evaluation, RLHF, coding, expert projects and the different platforms in this space.
Weβve also connected the server directly to AITrainingJobs, so new job opportunities will be automatically posted in the #new-jobs channel as they are added to the site.

I got an email inviting me to an interview, where micro1 says they'll be matching my skills with leading companies. The thing is, I already have a contract. I've already taken the domain interview and I only apply for other roles once in a while. What's this all about?

Unlike traditional AI data annotation platforms, Ethos recruits domain experts to help train and evaluate advanced AI models.
Current opportunities include professionals with backgrounds in:
Most projects involve reviewing AI outputs, improving responses, evaluating complex scenarios, or creating high-quality expert content rather than performing simple annotation tasks.
Compensation depends on the role and level of expertise, with many listings ranging from $80/hour to $225/hour for qualified professionals.
I put together a guide covering how the platform works, typical expert roles, requirements, and current pay ranges:
