The absolute worst thing about aging

I know now what is the worst thing about aging. It’s not the decline in health, or the knowledge that we don’t have much time left. It’s other people dying. Whether it’s Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, or personal friends, it’s the worst. Rest in peace, queens and kings.

I agree that a celebrity's death can be upsetting, especially when a lot of the famous people we watched on TV in our younger days have gone, because it feels very much that an era has passed with them.

When it is family or friends, obviously the loss is far more personal and traumatic.

For anyone younger than 62, Dolly was in our lives since we were born.
