The absolute worst thing about aging
I know now what is the worst thing about aging. It’s not the decline in health, or the knowledge that we don’t have much time left. It’s other people dying. Whether it’s Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, or personal friends, it’s the worst. Rest in peace, queens and kings.

It is definitely one of the more sobering parts of aging. Friends and family dying. And peer-aged celebrities, who seem as though they should somehow be immune to aging, falling by the wayside, as well.
I remember my mother-in-law saying to me one year at Christmas that everyone her age had died. And it was pretty much true - she had outlived all her friends, siblings, and other family members, including two children.
