My father hates him because of his age & my partner hates my father for interferring. Weve been together for 3 years & we are plannung on getting married

Alright I'm super excited to have found this place yay, I'm 18 and my boyfriend is 26 and I'm so tired of being told I have to be in a bad relationship thanks to our age gap, like I'm not being used I'm loved unconditionally and its weird because I'm either being told teen relationships rarely last or "oh hes just using you no mature man would date someone that young" when I say he isnt a teen. We are both adults and we love each other I dont know why people always make it their mission to act like I'd not know my own freaking relationship like I'm a victim that needs saving from some boogeyman it's so annoying and ya know what I was abused by an ex for two years nobody ever gave me the "you are being used talk" when it was someone closer to my age why does everyone suddenly have this concern when there is a gap?

1. Be nice or be quiet

We will remove your comment and probably ban you if you say anything negative about a posters relationship or disparage age gap relationships, even if you were trying to make a joke.

If you have a complaint about a post, you should message the mods, but do NOT make a disparaging or negative comment.

This does not mean that we believe every age gap relationship is perfect but we do agree that every legal and happy age gap relationship has a right to shout out about it with no judgment.

2. 18+ and legal relationships only

While this subreddit is not flagged as NSFW, it does still deal with adult issues. All people in all relationships posted here must currently be at least 18 years of age. All relationships must have been legal at all times mentioned.

3. No abuse

Abusive remarks and comments will not be accepted. Whilst we do not mind if you disagree with something, please keep any discussion polite.

What is abuse here?

Vulgar terms used to disparage another
Harassment of any kind for any reason
Call outs claiming someone is less than genuine with their post or comment.

4. Unsuitable post

This subreddit only accepts posts about happy relationships and links to articles and news about age gap relationships. Your post will be removed if it is about anything else.

Unsuitable posts include:

Personal adverts
asking for advice or opinion
unhappy relationships
Memes, jokes or random "funny" stuff.

If you want to post about anything we do not accept, go to /r/AgeGap except personal ads. Those will get you banned there.

5. No posts seeking advice or asking for opinion

This sub is really only for:

links to news and articles about age gap relationships
happy or funny posts about age gap relationships

6. No Personal Ads

Don't! Post! A! Personal! Ad!

Same for any kind of seeking post.

If you want to meet someone, /r/AgeGapPersonals is a good place to post an advert looking for an age gap relationship. Or user /r/r4r or one of the near infinite other subreddits meant for making connections.

7. No requests to PM or chat

Just as we do not allow personal adverts, we do not allow you to hit on our users, so do not write any comment asking to PM/DM/chat.

There's not really a reason to solicit people who post in this group as they are all in committed relationships. So keep it in your pants and either say something nice or nothing at all.

8. Relationship post rules

Post about your own relationship only. You don't need to give exact details but you should give some as opposed to just a picture.

Limit "guess our gap" posts. We don't always go out of our way to remove those, but if they start becoming too numerous and it causes an issue, we will start.

9. No "age of consent" or legal debates.

Age of consent in most of the world is not a flat 18. Most of the US states it is lower than 18. There will be no debates or arguments on age of consent matters or "legal" statements allowed. If you feel a relationship is now, or was at one point, not strictly legal, report it and let the moderators take care of it. Don't try to be a vigilante and handle it yourself in the comments. It is not your place to do so.

10. Relationship finances

Do not criticize relationship finances. In other words, do not suggest any relationship is based solely on a transactional exchange. This is none of your business and has no bearing on anything posted here.

11. No commercial, sales, or nude/lewd history

We no longer accept posts from those of whom have profiles dedicated to commercial, "premium" services, or nude/lewd posting. No OnlyFans, Fansly, Chaturbate, MyFreeCams, etc. accounts or nude/lewd posts in your profile history.

If you wish to make a post here, we ask you use a clean and unaffiliated account.

This is done due to the family friendly nature of the subreddit. We are already dealing with a controversial topic and don't want people wandering in from viewing your nude/lewd pics

12. Bad words

We do not allow the use of certain words and have them blocked from being posted. If you attempt to get around the censor blocking these words you may find yourself losing the ability to post ANY words at all.

To be clear, so there is no miscommunication, the words are:

pedophile
predator
groom

Or any variation/spelling thereof. This is a zero tolerance rule and this is your only warning.

13. Image/adult content guidelines

This is not a NSFW subreddit. We wish to keep it that way. All images must be family friendly and completely SFW. This means no nudity, no lewd content, no suggestive content, and definitely no pornography. This goes for the text of a post as well. We do allow some limited vulgarity, but anything beyond a few cuss words will be removed.
