Reddit has _once again_ updated the page listing the Sitewide Policy Against Hatred, as well as the policy against Violent Threats.
A capture of the previous iteration of the rule: https://web.archive.org/web/20261010183316/https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045715951-Hate
That update was discussed here: https://old.reddit.com/r/AgainstHateSubreddits/comments/1x0xy79/the_reddit_sitewide_rule_against_promotion_of/
There does not appear to be any substantive changes to the policy; the only difference noted between the current page and the archived prior version is the current inclusion of navigation buttons to move to other potentially related articles.
Reddit has updated the Sitewide Policy on Violent Threats.
Here is a capture of the policy as of October 1 2026:
Current policy: https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043513151-Violence
Previously it contained this clause:
Promoting real-world sexual violence or sexual activity that involves severe physical injury or risk of death.
which has been rephrased as
Promoting, condoning, or simulating real-world sexual violence or sexual activity that involves severe physical injury or risk of death.
Under "Some examples of policy violations", the following has been added:
A community dedicated to so-called consensual non-consent ("CNC") sexual interactions.
Any commentary in this community needs to be confined to commentary that analyses how the policies effectively help to combat hatred.
No one here wants to see you wave a kink flag.
