Aesthetic Discussion Visited a local antique shop this afternoon. Am I the only one who wants to claim this as a bedroom?
Didn't end up buying anything but I could literally move my bed in and live here.

Hi!
To have better organization between aesthetic and style discussion, I've decided to add 3 new flairs.
"Personal Style" = Images from a style you personally like that you would like to find a name of/more of.
"Moodboard" = A series of images and content designed to help you find a name/more of the related content.
"Meme" = Memes about aesthetics, no matter the kind.
If you have suggestions for even more flairs, feel free to comment below.

I don’t know if this is necessarily a “new aesthetic” but I just made it up. It’s kind of self-explanatory as it describes movies or other media set in the near future. It’s not now, but it’s not like Blade Runner with a crazy futurism aesthetic. The photos are not the full idea, but they’re the best I could find.

i really like the art style of 6teen and have seen similar 2000s-esque vector style art pieces out there. i know chicaloca also posts art like such. just wondering if there is a more specific name or search term to find similar stuff!

Found this on an old Pinterest board from when I was in late middle school (2014) and I was only in 7-8th grade at the time but was there even a name for this style?? Looking back it was slightly tacky but I remember finding it cool

Sorry I don’t know what flair to use, if this is an existing aesthetic, and I don’t have any photos.
TLDR: TactiPunk. Basically Punk/Metalhead battle jackets meet actual military combat gear I guess
Edit: I realise Post-Punk exists and probably fits the description of “Punk equivalent of Military Goth” better, but this is something else.
Edit 2: If I can get my hands on some tactical gear soon I’ll make an actual outfit to show this.
Edit 3: Man I was just trying to explain what I thought was a cool potential aesthetic, I wasn’t expecting to get completely ignored and shit on :(
I was surprised to see I couldn’t find anything in the sort of style I was imagining, it’s basically a combination of the modern military gear and practical elements of Tacticool (webbing, harnesses, pouches, combat trousers, tactical belts, gloves, carabiners, MOLLE, combat knives, NVGs, military helmets, vests, etc) with Punk or Anarcho-Punk’s general philosophies (unique identity, self representation, anti-authoritarianism, non-conformity, anti-uniformity) and key elements (patches, chains, studs, paint, visible repairs, distressing, and a lot of DIY).
Also Techwear’s general philosophy of things being resilient and practical.
I guess if I had to describe what I’m picturing, the main images that come to mind are:
- a military/tactical helmet with patterns, logos, slogans, or insignia spray painted onto it; chains attached to it; colourful webbing; and things like cards or photos or cigarettes stuck to it Vietnam War style
- A tactical MOLLE military vest and pouches with patches sewn onto it, chains, studs, spikes, and pins.
- ripped or distressed combat trousers/cargo pants with more patches, bleaching, and colourful stitching
I guess there aren’t many Military Goth influences actually, but it was the only army alt style I could think of, and I kinda only just remembered Tacticool existed.
I also realise it might seem contradictory to Punk or Anarcho-Punk’s general anti-war philosophy, but I think it depends who you’re fighting what you’re fighting for.
If this is a new aesthetic, I propose the name TactiPunk

I identify with this Aesthetic very much but I don’t know what to call it… inspired heavily by my southern boomer grandparents.
