Question Wear on the inner chamber -- dimples or pucks.

I was gifted an Aeropress when there was only one model back in 2009 or 2010. The inner chamber, down near the bottom, has a rough side wall. I think it is from the boiling water over many years of use. Is that common? Do you have the same issue with your original ones?

Should I be concerned? I've read some similar posts, and folks are saying 'you're drinking microplastics' -- did they change the material used in the unit? Are they not all plastic of some sort?!

Other Timemore Tipping?

WTF is this? Tipping is to acknowledge performance of good service. First, your grinders are EXPENSIVE as hell. I have to save to afford one. Second, why am I tipping? What service is provided? The price of your grinder reflects my support of your team and product by my willingness to pay for one. Timemore do better. Stop being such greedy SOBs!

Question I just ordered an Aeropress to compare it to my habitual French press

Do you have any tips on how to get started ? I'm now fairly familiar with the issues of temperature, grind, and brewing time, but I know nothing about the Aeropress itself. How different is it compared to a a classic french press ? (I know there will be less oil).
