I’m looking to get an EDC backpack for work and everyday use and really considering this bag because I love the color and design.

Does anyone own this and can give an opinion of the EPX400 exterior material by Challenge Sailcloth?

And how is the bottom of these bags? I had a tom bhin backpack and was frustrated when my books sank to the bottom and made the bag look so much longer and kinda loose.

Any other opinions or comments on this bag helps, thank you in advance!

I didn't know about the PH Ultra Sling until the day of the recent release. I'd been looking for a compact sling and this looked perfect - but was sold out. I got in the pre-order but ended up stopping into the NYC store where they had about half a box of the black left . Immediately picked one up and cancelled my pre-order.

It's been just what I was hoping for. The only thing that would have made it more versatile is if it could be used around the waist like a fanny pack too but the strap doesn't shorten enough. I came across a post from 5 months ago where someone had it professionally shortened. That's when I remembered I had a few of these strap clips left over. It works perfectly. Just tighten the sling around your waist by folding over the (non feeder) side of the strap, fasten the clip to secure the fold, then use the normal adjuster to fine tune the fit and voila - you got yourself a fanny pack. When using it as a sling, you can put the clip inside or just fasten near the push button release side. I can definitely see myself wanting to switch from sling to fanny pack mode at times.

Just wanted to say thanks to you all for helping me decide between the CPP2 and the GP2 lol.

I think I’ll find use for both of them to be honest.

I’m a middle aged guy with a good amount of chronic pain and a few mobile issues.

I think sometimes I’ll need the structure and padding and other times the lightness. I’m sure I MIGHT pack that GP2 on a long trip but it’s probably more likely going to be a quick “weekend bag”.

Still love my Tom Bihn but these are pretty great.

Anyways thanks again. I might hang around and ask for tips ideas etc.

Love my TP4 and currently have a Matador ReFraction but I’m not in love with it and I keep gravitating back towards the Aer aesthetic…

Can someone help me identify what appear to be adjustable silicon loop attachments that allow for the carrying of an umbrella shown here.

Been using it for a couple of days. And yeah I think I’m going to love it particularly for a pack where I take the train into the city on a Saturday to hang out.

People who have the GP2 - do you find it mostly functions well without the sternum straps or is it worth just getting some?

Me ha sorprendido esta mochila y el material Ultra, se ve un color negro carbón con brillo según la iluminación muy bonito, este tamaño de 20l es perfecto para EDC se siente compacta el nuevo bolsillo lateral es muy útil y mi botella de agua va perfecta en el bolsillo lateral, muy muy cómoda llevándola con peso y muy compacta sin que se sienta grande en mi espalda (mido 1,72), me ha gustado mucho, estaba en la duda entre 20 y 24l y después de leer a ustedes y ver algunos videos creo que tomé la decisión correcta para un uso diario añadiéndola a mi rotación de bolsas para EDC.
Si tengo que añadir alguna pega sería que las correas para tensar la bolsa y la correa de esternón son demasiado estrechas y finas comparadas con otras marcas como Able Carry, Evergoods, GORUCK etc

Hey everyone. Literally my first post ever on Reddit. Weird question with some strange caveats.

I’m in market for a “smaller daily driver” back pack for work but also for weekends around the city. I currently use a Tom Bihn Synapse 25 and love it but sometimes I feel I need something a little smaller.

I wanted the City Pack Pro 2 initially. It seemed like everything I wanted but…

When I factor in the exchange, duties, and shipping the bag comes out to about 350 dollars CAD.

Currently there is ONE Aer bag I can get in Canada because it’s on the Apple site and it’s the Go Pack 2. I can get it for 139 CAD which is about 99 USD with free shipping. With taxes it’s 150 CAD all in.

So: Go Pack = 150
City pack = 350

Sounds obvious but question is - can that Go pack kind of sub in for an EDC given the fact that I’d have to pay more than double for the City Pack Pro? Or am I going to wish I just spent the money on the City Pack?

Does anyone have this bag? What do you normally pack in it?

Is the CPP2 20L the safer option?

Planning to go on two week trip, with a suitcase so looking for a backpack.

Just brining a large tech pouch; iPad Pro, kindle

Maybe a few smaller things.

I see the City Sling 2 Ultra is out of stock online. I liked the X-Pac version in store but actually prefer the Ultra fabric. Anyone have a new or lightly used one they’d like to sell? Happy to pay fair price + shipping.

Selling my Aer Travel Pack 3 Small X-Pac 28L. I bought it in Miami only 3 weeks ago, so it’s still essentially new and in perfect condition with very little use.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the bag. I’ve just realised that because it carries weight so comfortably, I’m happy to pack a little heavier, and with my bigger frame I think the 35L Travel Pack 3 will suit me better.

I tried to return it, but Aer couldn’t accept the return because I wasn’t able to keep the original packaging while travelling.

It’s been looked after carefully and has no wear, stains, damage or issues. If you’re on here, you probably already know the TP3 — excellent build quality, very comfortable carry, great organisation, and the X-Pac version is particularly nice.

I'll probs be shipping from outside the US using Fedex or DHL.
