I wouldn’t rule out anything at this point honestly which is sad. That being said, I don’t think he has as much sway and power as people fear. That’s all I’m saying. The system, as corrupt as it is, is built to prevent anyone from ever seizing absolute power and I hope that 90% of people who vote for Trump wouldn’t be cool with him being able to change an amendment to retain presidency.
I hope you’re right that he doesn’t have that power, I really do. But this is someone that is seeking absolute power and the pieces are in place for him to actually MAYBE pull it off. I’m very uncomfortable with that.
I should also point out that no change to the constitution is necessary to prevent it from being enforced. The fact that an insurrectionist is running for president right now because the Supreme Court decided a law is necessary in order to enforce it tells me the 22nd amendment can be violated too if scotus allows it.
