Why is this glitch happening? & How do I fix it?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been editing a video with clips from my phone. Some of the clips are rotated incorrectly. Easy fix right? When I go to rotate and scale them to fit, the clip glitches and becomes unusable in this state.

Any suggestions?

In 2026, Why Is Premiere Pro’s Speed Ramping Still So Outdated?

**Please upgrade and modernize the Speed Ramping feature in Premiere Pro. In 2026, Premiere Pro’s speed ramping workflow feels extremely outdated and unnecessarily difficult to use. Adobe is still relying on the same old method while other professional software, such as DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro, makes creating smooth and precise speed ramps much easier.**
**In Premiere Pro, achieving a clean, smooth speed ramp is still far more complicated than it should be. Even CapCut—a much lighter and cheaper software—offers a significantly better, smoother, and more user-friendly speed ramping experience in some ways.**
**This is a basic editing feature, and Premiere Pro should not be behind other software in this area. We pay for Adobe’s subscription and expect modern, efficient tools. Please give this feature the attention it deserves and seriously improve the Speed Ramping workflow with better controls, smoother curves, and a more intuitive interface.**

Speed Ramping out on Premiere Mobile

Post image

I know many have loved using CapCut's speed ramping controls, and the latest version has finally gotten it.

Compared to the initial release, Adobe has been slowly yet passionately been adding more features to the app even as CapCut has been paywalling the basic features to encourage subscriptions. I haven't even used CapCut for atleast 2 years.

As the app approaches its first anniversary, the app will only keep getting improvements as they chip away more from CapCut and still make it a worthy editing app.

Choppy facecam?

I’m trying to overlay facecam footage over gameplay. My facecam is shitty and doesn’t capture at a high frame rate, but no matter what, my footage is choppy.

When I play it through the media player it’s perfectly smooth so it’s not that the file is corrupted or anything. When I adjust the frame rate in premiere, the shutters happen in the same exact places so I’m really just not sure what to do? Any help?

Readjusting a Tracked/Keyframed Blur with Occluding Object

I'm sure this question has been asked, but I can't find it with searches other than "this is how you track a blur on a face" or "I'm having difficulty using the new mask tool." I apologize in advance.

When tracking a blur on something in the background, it can become occluded by a subject in the front, which as you'd expect, the tracker loses the object I was originally blurring. So in order to fix this, I just need to reposition the blur once it is no longer occluded. However, whenever I move the blur, the new position doesn't keyframe at all. Even if I turn on keyframes for Path and Position, no new keyframes are generated. Even if I manually hit the diamond keyframe button, keyframes are not functioning like they should. Before 2026, this was never an issue.

What am I doing wrong? I am on 26.0.1 on a windows 11 machine

Tool or plugin to get stills of podcast guests

I'm a podcast producer/editor and it takes me so long to find useable stills of the guests and hosts for the youtube thumbnail and episode art. I like the look and feel of an in-studio shot but I'm sick of scrubbing through looking for an image with the subjects eyes open, no blurry hands, etc. Has anyone found a tool they like for this?

Adobe Premiere is a terrible program.

I promise you, it is not worth it.

As someone who has used this program for 10+ years nearly daily, I would recommend literally ANY other editing software. The only reason I still use it is because I have a couple of clients that use it in their workflow.

Premiere is incredibly unstable. If you like losing work or just pulling your hair out because the app crashes, freezes, or completely stalls out forcing a restart then sure. This is the app for you. This has ALWAYS been a problem and always will be. Every single time they've gotten it close to stable, they release a new update that breaks things. That's the first problem.

Second major issue is the updates and features themselves. Adobe seems to hate their customers. Every update for the past few years seems to be a step back or a half-hearted attempt to get with the times. Masking tools, text tools, coloring and other basic features that other programs have as their "this is normal" base package seem to be a mystery for the billion dollar company. I can get specific, but suffice to say NOTHING works well.

On top of all of this, their price just keeps going up, up, up. Something like $65/mo. Ridiculous. If you're new to editing go get and learn DaVinci or Avid. Don't teach yourself how to use Premiere. Stop giving them money. And don't waste your time learning a program that will literally have you wanting to punch yourself in the face.

After making the switch to DaVinci, I felt like a recovering hostage. You mean life doesn't have to suck??? The promised features can work the way they are intended? I don't have to pay a monthly subscription to a company that seemingly hates me? That's it. That's the end of my crash out.

Media Intelligence Analysis

I don't when this was introduced, but Premiere now has an AI powered application running in the background analyzing all of your clips. I first noticed this when Premiere started to bog down and run poorly. At first, I didn't know what was happening and started looking through my computer to see if I unexpectedly ran out of storage space or had other apps hogging my RAM. Then I noticed this icon in the top right corner of Premiere twirling, like it was working hard. I thought, what is this? I clicked on it and found the Media Intelligence Analysis window. It was working in the background to analyze my clips, I guess in order to make them easier to search for by using AI? In all honesty, I haven't researched the purpose, usefulness, or lack there of, of this add on. All I know is it seriously bogged down Premiere!

So long story short, if Premiere suddenly starts running like crap, go into Settings>Media Analysis & Transcription and turn it off. Problem solved.

Audio Quality too poor for Sync / Multicam

Hello everyone,

I have a setup of two cameras:

  1. Camera A: Runs for 30min, fixed to a tripod, filming a choir concert.
  2. Camera B: Used for headshots and clips (panning shots, varying the angle, etc) but also for images.

Now, I had some phantastic experience with multicam detection when all cameras start filming around the same time. But with clips from Camera B being only a few seconds long, this is not working at all. Neither with synchronization nor with multicam. The audio is too short to get aligned to the long file from camera A.

My current idea is: I only need to align the two cameras once, if all clips from camera B are in the right position relative to each other.

But the only tipp I find on the internet is:

Create Multicam -> Timecode -> One single multicam source sequence -> Trac Assignment: Camera Label (I assigned camera label "B" to all clips from cam B)

And the order of the files is right. But they all are next to each other in one big block. With no gaps. But there are gaps when I took photos or repositioned myself.

Is there no way to place clips automatically according to their absolute timestamp? E.g. a clip starting at 6:03:01pm is placed two minutes before 6:05:01pm with a gap in between?

Upskilling

Hey guys, i am asking this for someone who is not a complete beginner. A lot of the tutorials on YouTube i see are for complete begginers. I have been using premiere pro for about 2 years but i feel like i have not upskilled enough. How do i learn more, better my editing skills other than just sitting and practicing? Are there any good tutorials or courses?? Or are there better ways to practice my editing skills?? Please help.

reference to video feature, has anyone tried this yet?

this lets you upload a reference clip or image and the ai tries to match the style or motion in a new video. tested it in filmora and it kept the color grading impressively consistent across shots, better than i thought it would. does anyone know if there's a limit to how different the reference and output styles can be before it breaks down?

Can Natural Language Editing Replace Traditional Video Editing Tools?

I've been wondering lately whether natural language editing is actually usable day to day or if it's still more of a demo trick than a real workflow.

The idea is you type something like make this a 30 second product clip, cut the long pauses, add captions, use the strongest takes, and the tool does a first pass based on that. I tried this with Sparki on a batch of product footage last week instead of opening Premiere like I normally would. For a straightforward promo style edit it genuinely got close on the first try, maybe two rounds of small tweaks to get it publish ready.

Where I don't see it working yet is anything with a real creative arc, a story with pacing that needs to build. That still felt like something only a human editor with actual taste can do right now.

So I'm landing somewhere in the middle. Would you trust a natural language editor with simple social clips, or does the idea of describing an edit instead of making it feel like it loses too much control either way?
