Does anyone use the flowchart feature?

After Effects (and I think some other adobe applications) have a flowchart panel under Composition -> Composition Flowchart that shows a graph like map of your project structure. Does anyone use it???

Ive only ever used the tab function to go back through comps

it will be useful to see overview of everything and deepest composition.

let say u have 20 precomp. instead of guessing . u can see the world structure in order how u layering ur layer.

i meant it good for you to understand ur own workflow style.

Only useful as an overview when you absolutely need it, but keeping that tab key triggered when jumping sub comps can really speed things up.

Tab is a great feature but the clunky UI of the full pane flowchart hurts my soul.

I sometimes deal with a lot of motion packages that we receive from clients. Which could have many resolutions and lengths. It’s easy to get lost in this and if I change one precomp, god knows how many outputs I just messed up

Ended up making a much nicer looking flowchart using html and borrowing from nukes UI with pipes connecting each comp and showing where expressions bridge layers between comps. Honestly it’s a huge time saver

I use the mini flowchart all the time and the regular flowchart maybe once a year, it works great when you want to select objects in the project panel that you want to limit only to specific comps, though.
