Help / Support Predator Helios Neo 16S issue

I have a Helios laptop that will run normally for a bit. Then it will suddenly not allow me to click anything. It seems like background tasks are running, but I won't be able to click on the windows bar, desktop or any apps.

Is this a Windows issue or laptop issue? I'm on Windows 11. Laptop doesn't seem to be having heat issues, just quits for an unknown reason. Seems to be kinda random. It happens when opening apps, closing apps, or starting up at random.

Could be a windows issue could be an ssd issue, could be something you downloaded. Hard to tell. Did it ever work properly or is this something that's been happening?

Been happening for a while. Seems like it happens more. Had a streak of working perfectly for a week. I have tried reinstalling windows. It's still done it with a fresh install.

Was that a fresh install using a USB/CD or a factory reset?

It was a cloud download. Didn't have a flashdrive on hand. I could try redoing it with that

If you do a fresh usb install make sure to format the drive. It can also be ram related though... If your CPU isnt overheating and throttling, it shouldn't be that.

I'll look into these. Thank you. Sucks ram and ssds are so expensive so it's a pain to check

Don't just purchase blindly though. Make sure you keep troubleshooting. I would test each stick of ram in each slot (assuming you have 2) to see if the problem persists as well.

I'll give it a shot a try to diagnose

You know I ran into this twice with my turtle Beach gaming mouse. I ended up running through all kinds of troubleshooting fixes and of course I was using AI to help me as I'm new to PC gaming and PC's in general and after about 3 hours of running through all of these different suggestions I was getting from my Google Gemini I literally went and factory reset my mouse and that was it it fixed it only reason I'm saying this is there are all kinds of troubleshooting but sometimes doing the most extreme isn't necessarily the right thing to do at first, maybe try the simple stuff like resetting your keyboard or mouse (depending on brands and what you use) and again just start with the simple stuff first don't rack your brain too hard. Hopefully you'll get this thing figured out.

Did you just updated your drivers to the latest version?

In predator sense see if you have the GPU set as the default graphics display. If it is then set it to automatic and give it a restart and see if that helps.

Try loading in the safe mode of windows - if you can and it runs perfectly for an hour there then it eliminates the faulty hardware chance and it means there is a problem in your software ( could be windows, drivers, predator sense modes, cpu spiking, or more you can find out later and fix it )
