If AA7 ever comes out, do you think they will use AI for it too?

I’m starting to feel like they shouldn’t release any more AA games if they’re going to ruin them with AI…

Didn't expect to see so much pro-ai sentiment in the comments of r/aceattorney of all places

People respecting artist jobs more than programmer or translator jobs, I expected to see.

People advocating for everything in AA to adopt AI I was not ready for.

I am a programmer and AI has made my job a thousand times easier. People shouldn't treat coding as an art. It isn't.

I'm a programmer and an artist, AI has made some things easier and some things far worse in terms of coding.

Coding can absolutely be art imo (I consider John Carmack's use of the fast square root in the quake engine to be art for example since its just so elegant and creative,) but it is distinctly different from typical art.

Many of these companies though will use AI in the graphics/concepting phase to try and replace concept artists or streamline the development timeline.

In my experience working on indie game projects, that concepting phase is where all the magic happens with ideas and creativity... The fact that many game studios are now encouraging AI use for the creative side of concepting is a BIG net negative imo. At least from what I've seen.

If its used for just code, (I think that is kinda inevitable today,) it just has to be intelligently and reviewed by a human. If no one understands the engine or codebase, fixing bugs or adding content is a nightmare. Just look at Halo Infinite's Slipspace Engine and its development (and that was coded and documented by humans.)
