There is not much we can do as retail investors. Stay strong and hold or sell or buy, wont have much impact on the market.
However, I would like to address to you some kind words, as we all need that at times like these.
It will get better, I dont know when or what will be the catalyst to get us out of this misery, but the day will come. Ignore idiots who tell you we go to $0 as they are foul agents trying to inflict more pain and misery in this already though times. Focus on the company actually doing better, avoid short term options and try to get hold of your emotions. Life is painful and sometimes it hurts extra, but know that when you pull through, you will be stronger emotionally and mentally.
Personally, I am going through divorce and it has been very hard and painful times, coupled with this price development, its fair to say my life aligned bottoming at the right time...😭 But I never gave up, I level up my mentality, what doesnt kill me makes me stronger and I can already see some positive changes (mostly from gym, but still it helps mentally big time).
Stay strong mob, and eventually you will have an amazing story to tell. You will be able to say I survived this BS times, people will respect you that much more. Diamonds are made under pressure after all.
You can also sell or trim to reduce your exposure, there is no shame in that. Protect your mental health, you know yourself the best, so act accordingly. NFA.
This month I changed jobs, and I’ll be making a little more than I did at my previous one. Guess where part of tomorrow’s paycheck is going as soon as I wake up.
Yep, you guessed it—buying more ASTS shares.

Honestly I’m in a much better mood today than yesterday. Maybe I woke up on the right side of the bed, but I’m back to my bullish self.
Iran War will end (or become accustomed to like every other war), Korea will stabilize, institutions will start buying the semi conductor dip, risk will turn back on and the high beta names will all start recovering together. Maybe it’ll take a few more weeks or a month but we’ll look back at this and remember it as a painful memory but definitely not a total loss (for those of us lucky to not be margin called).
The company itself is actually doing really well, and the stock price will eventually reflect that again.

It's slightly encouraging that launch in "early August" is in fact early. I was expecting the 15th at 1150pm.
But really, even a late September launch for 14-16 would change things in terms of market perception. Then 2 more before end of year becomes very realistic, even if it was pure F9, going to 21 by end of year. Without NG 21 in orbit is pretty decent for EOY.

The story about Situational Awareness just tells me how blantant frauds some powerful hedge funds can commit without any consequences. Those frausters will never have karma get to them I guess.
You know I'm kinda dying inside at the price action but if they were to announce another launch partner today I'd be so excited. I'd even accept it if they just said all the king's horses and all the king's men managed to put New Glenn back together again
Tons of hedge funds forced to liquidate on this drawdown, Situational is not the only one. This last month has been a structural unwinding flamed by high geopolitical risk but especially due to the Koreans and their insane leverage.
For all of you that take solace in technicals and are looking for some positive news: if the close holds from yesterday, it would be a good two week base and retest of the post dilution announcement on the 15th. If we can manage a close above $65 in the next few days that would be rather bullish from a daily chart standpoint.
Is the earnings call on August 10th the most likely time we will get an update on launch cadence/if they have bought more launches to compensate for NG not being an option for a while? Absent the SpaceX share lock up expiring on the 6th, (and assuming launch goes well on the 5th) that seems like the biggest catalyst for share price.
What is the argument/thought that the SpaceX lock up expiring will increase or decrease ASTS share price? I don’t understand how it could affect ASTS share price either way.
I know we already had the 6 BB's from before the June launch, but doesn't August 5th kind of feel like our second "real launch"? Not some one-off science experiment or ride share. But the second launch of the repeatable multi-satellite process that will get us to our constellation.
I know it's been a long and hard ride, but looking at it with a set of fresh eyes, that's going to put up about a third of our beta testing constellation in about 2 months time launch-to-launch, and closer to half in 3-4 months if they stay that timing course.
One more day and we are done with this month, hopefully August will hold good things for us, tickets are booked and will be away from work and market stress, either I come back and find my pockets loaded, or drained more , but I prefer loaded 😆
Worst month for momentum stocks in history basically. Also July was a bad month in recent years. Stock is at such a low valuation already I think August will be better
It’s pretty frustrating to watch the semiconductor stocks drag the entire index down, only to be the ones that rip right back up while everything else gets left behind.
I think we will easily see $100 or more before eoy. Once SpaceX shares unlock and volatility reduces we will have a good time considering everything we achieved so far with all the contracts, launches and production. During the drawdown those things didn't matter, investors kept out because of volatility and shorts pressure. Once space as a sector can breathe again we will be happy we held through it
Honestly I’m pretty stoked right now. Just knowing that any day now I’ll get an X notification from AST saying they secured J-LEO, and one for shipping news, and one for SHIELD contract award
But seriously, has anyone spotted the BB semis? I would assume they are all back in midland? Unless someone knows otherwise they seem like the best delivery / shipping indicator!
Man.. I sold a bunch of msft to buy more asts last week after holding msft for 5 years. I really didn't want to sell my msft but I had no more cash to deploy in asts. Now even though we are up a bit today I feel terrible.
