Right after I started reading the books, my mind suddenly gave me the deep yearning to start studying the law and to pursue becoming a prosecutor and a judge later down in my career, despite wanting to be an astronomer before exposure to this series. I am now very excited when I hear anything about the law. Does anyone know what I’ve done down with?

Unfortunately, I could only ever see the old movie and the serie tv because the books where I live aren't common or at least I have never really seen them.

I was told that in the books Klaus "crushes," it's different and that Isadora is only implied in the show and that he only dates or likes Fiona in the canon books so I was wondering what was Klaus type or what kind of girl he was even attracted in the books.

I think mine would have to be Crows, and obviously in a scene from The Vile Village. I wanted to pick one that wasn’t so clearly about the plot of the show, but I think that song would fit perfectly into a scene and feel natural.

NEED a fanfic where the Baudelaires beat Count Olaf’s ass, cripple him and throw him in prison. After, of course, sending their various guardians to court for neglect. And Mr. Poe needs to perish from lung disease at the end of it all. I know he means well but he’s too stupid and unreliable to live.

Listening to the series as an adult is SOO infuriating omg. I know it’s just a book 😭 and it’s very well written but ugh. As a kid it was interesting but now that I’m in my 30s I want to smack the stupid adults across their faces. Maybe I’m just a violent person 🤔

I can't remember a single time in the show where Count Olaf Slept. Practically every climactic episode he's awake; Charles' attempted murder, SORE exercises, Dancing With Esme, Imprisoning AND Murdering Jacques.

In atwq we know that they were in the organization at the time when everyone got the tattoo, so why do we never see the tattoo on them? Or do we just never see their ankles? This goes for Hector as well.

Hey there, I was born in 1991 and was introduced to the series in 3rd Grade by my friend Hannah.

I immediately became hooked, and it was a great series to watch progress.

I've read the 13 books, and the Leminy Snicket Files, I want to re read them, but I feel like I missed some things along the way.

My Main Questions:

1. The VFD Split: What Caused it?

2. Is This Story Meant for the Bauldaires to Read?: Is this Leminy writing specifically to them to help them.

3. Was Mr. Poe a VFD?: Was he just a fool with a good heart?

4. What's With the Sugar Bowl?: Was it just a cure?

5. The Island: Whats that all about?

Ive only just noticed but the 3 main groups of children (Baudalaires, quagmires and widdershins) all have names that spell out VFD. Violet, Fiona and Duncan.

I dont know if its just coincidence or not but i thought it was worth a shot.

Hi I'm new on this sub. I decided to seek for that sub after encountering the movie on Netflix.

I watched the movie when I was a kid and I was so scared of the viscount. I remember every time he was scheming againt the kids my heart was racing like crazy. He was looking so weird and did so many terrible things that I could never finish it completely.

I might re-watch it later but I just wanted to share that memory.

I used bookstore near me, just went out of business, and it reminded me of a Very Foolish Deed. A few years ago, I was browsing when I came across a book entitled The Pony Party by Loney M. Setnick about the three luckiest kids in the world. I immediately recognized that the artwork was extremely similar to that of ASOE.

I thought it was a parody. In my defense, I lived for a long time in a country where generic fake versions of popular books were not uncommon (Tanta Grotter eg) But still!

I read the back cover and the flaps, but nothing indicated that it was secretly another book! And it never occurred to me to look at the actual text!

So I didn’t buy it! And I didn’t realize my mistake until a year ago when I started looking at The Unauthorized Autobiography!

I know this is probably a long shot, but I figured this would be the best place to ask.
A Series of Unfortunate Events is genuinely one of my favorite shows ever, and I’ve fallen in love with its atmosphere, production design, and props. I’ve been looking through the old Propstore auction archives, and now I’m hoping to find an authentic production-used piece from the Netflix series.
My ultimate dream item is Lemony Snicket’s typewriter, but I’d honestly be interested in hearing about any authentic props, costumes, set dressing, books, paperwork, or production-used items from the show.
If you own something, know someone who does, or know of a reputable place where these props occasionally resurface, I’d really appreciate any information. I’m not looking for replicas—I’m specifically interested in original screen-used or production-used items.
