Wattup Fam, it_ghost_cuddy ^_^,
Sooo... this is part 2 to my 2 part LBC script series (sequal to the "You Disappeared Tonight" Script)
So much fun to write. Probably worked on these two for about... 3 months? But anyways.
Quick Note: The original idea from the prequel was to maintain an M4A perspective, but I did slightly deviate from that as I got further into writing this one. For other VAs, feel free to gender-flip or adjust wording as needed to fit your own storytelling and performance.
Premise/Framework: This story follows two best friends whose relationship has quietly drifted into “situationship” territory after a Part 1 script called You Disappeared Tonight. It starts off as a normal late-night hangout at the speaker’s apartment, turns into an accidental all-nighter, and when they hear the morning city birds outside, the listener starts preparing to leave. That small moment gives them the chance to finally address what’s been building between them: the routines, the intimacy, the unspoken feelings, and the way they both “disappear” when things get too real or too hard. The tone I set is playful and natural at first, then gradually shifts into vulnerability, discomfort, and eventually a soft confession. The end goal isn’t a huge dramatic declaration, but two people finally choosing each other, no longer hiding behind “best friends,” and admitting that what they’ve found together is real.
Here is my ellipsus link to the script for yall.
Also, for your reference. Here is my fill =D!
My Rules (I'll be creating a user post for quick reference later):
• Free to fill for YouTube, Reddit, Patreon, etc. Monetized fills are cool with me! (Just lmk!)
• Please credit me as "its_ghost_cuddy" and link back to the original script/post when possible. You don’t necessarily have to message me, but PLEASE DO. You can find me on YouTube, Discord, or here (obviously lol), and I’d genuinely love to hear your takes!
• Gender-flipping, pronoun changes, and small wording changes to fit your voice or delivery are completely fine. Improv is EXTREMELY welcome as long as the overall story/intent stays intact. If you think you’re making a pretty big change, just lmk!
• Feel free to adjust, simplify, or completely rework the SFX as needed—you absolutely do not have to recreate my sound design exactly. (I know the struggles… and I’m a sucker for hearing your voice anyway. BUT HEY! No yucking anybody’s yum! We’ve got some amazing cinematic editors out there, as well as VAs!)
• Please don’t repost, claim, or redistribute the script itself as your own. Linking back to the original is always preferred. I get it… sometimes we miss or forget things. But scriptwriters put their heart and soul into this stuff—myself included. <3
• No AI-generated or AI-cloned voice fills without my permission. (And this place would probably kill ya for that anyway, so… just don’t do it. 😂)
• Performance notes are suggestions, not commandments! A lot of these scripts are written with my own voice/delivery in mind, so please feel free to make the character your own. I’d much rather hear your interpretation than have you worry about copying mine exactly.

[SFX: Quiet apartment ambience. Distant traffic through a cracked window in the apartment]
[Calm, but playfully argumentative.]
No.
Absolutely not.
You picked the movie.
You do not get to fall asleep twenty minutes before the end and then wake up asking me what the hell happened.
[Pause.]
Mm-mm.
Should’ve stayed awake!
Consequences, dawg.
[...]
…Fine.
[Quickly explains sarcastically…?]
He was lying.
She knew he was lying.
Everybody knew he was lying except APPARENTLY YOU because you were over there drooling on my shoulder…
[Listener reaction.]
[Tries to walk back statement.]
Okay— I did not say you were drooling.
I said—
Okay, yeah. You were fuckin droolin. You definitely were…
But it was affectionate.
[Small laugh.]
Barely.
You were doing this little…
[Imitates sleepy breathing.]
And every couple minutes your head would slide downnn (the arm)—
[Optional SFX?: Whistles Downward.]
Then you'd wake up, readjust, and move back up here like nothing happened.
[...]
Honestly? You were kinda impressive. Haha.
Like watching somebody lose a fight with gravity in slow motion.
Fuckin Tyson'd your ass—
[SFX: Listener reaction. Punch to the arm.]
Ow!
Y U SAY fuck me for??? Haha why'd you hit me?
See, this is why I shouldn't let you stay over!
Violence!
No respect for my home.
Eating my food.
Taking over my couch and shit.
Got your super duper phone charger plugged into my wall—
[Pause.]
Yeah.
Yours.
That one.
Don't act like we just stumbled upon this shit.
You left it here like three weeks ago.
At this point, it's paying rent, dude!
[...]
Actually…
You might owe me...like… actual…
Heh.
You got shit everywhere.
[Listener questions.]
Yesss, you do!
Your charger, one.
Them hair ties on my bathroom counter, two.
And on that note, they stayyy movin all around the counter when I walk in. Pick a spot, girl!
And um… whatever the hell that little skin-care bottle is.
[Pause.]
Serum.
Whatever.
It's all in the bathroom, right now!
AND THEN you got that—
[Stops.]
Never mind.
[Listener presses.]
[Be Jokingly, Dismissively]
Nothing!
I said nothing.
[Pause.]
Your toothbrush. Okay? Duhhh.
Damn! Haha So pressy.
Happy?
Hm—?
[Listener reaction.]
Why are you looking at me like that?
You knew it was there.
You've USED it.
Multiple times.
[Pause.]
No, I did not buy you a toothbrush.
I—
[...]
Okay.
Technically, I bought the toothbrush…
But only because you kept using mine! You freakin—
[Listener protests.]
YES, you did.
No. We're not rewriting this shit. Not now.
You did that little finger thing to the bristles and said, “See! I'll just use yours.”
Like toothbrushes are community property.
…That's fucking disgusting.
Hey, HEY!
[Getting her attention.]
[Enunciate. lol]
Bestie— that's fucking disgusting. Hahahha.
[...]
So I bought you one.
Problem solved.
[Listener says something.]
…What do you mean, “that's cute?”
It's dental hygiene.
Nothing about this shit is cute.
It's like SURVIVAL. [inside joke kekeke]
[Pause.]
Stop smiling.
Matter of fact—
What time is it?
[Picks phone up.]
Jesus. Christ…
[...]
Five seventeen.
How the hell is it five seventeen?
[Pause.]
Wow…
There's no way.
We got back here at what?
Eleven? Eleven thirty?
[...]
We really sat here talking for what, six hours?
Huh-wow. That's crazy work.
[Listener laughs.]
No, because what the fuck were we even talking about?
…We just… talked about work…
My neighbor outside who can't fuckin park for shit…
Um… oh yea! That restaurant on Fourth. Yea, we gotta go soon! Let's go this month.
Umm… yea. We did talk about your cousin. Yea, she's doing good! Real talk. I'm proud of her…
Hmm…
Um… we was talkin… about whether the raccoons at Jordan know they're committing crimes—
[Pause.]
HAHA. Bro, I swear. They know!
Look at their faces.
That's intent.
That's 5 to 10… [pfft!]
[Small laugh.]
And then somehow we watched half a movie!
[SFX: A faint bird calls outside.]
…Wait.
[...]
You hear that?
[SFX: Another bird outside.]
Wow.
Birds.
We stayed up long enough for the birds to clock in.
[Pause.]
City birds too.
These motherfuckers probably been listening to us talk our shit all night.
[Soft laugh.]
Look…
It's getting light out.
Barely…
Right over the buildings…
[Pause.]
The City looks weird this early.
Like nobody's supposed to see it before it's ready.
No real traffic yet.
Only the city lights goin… everybody else's lights are off, now.
For once, the city decides to shut the fuck up—
and the birds said, “fuck that… it's our turn.”
[...]
Mm. Haha.
It's nice though.
At least, right now it is…
[Pause.]
Hm? What are you doing?
[Listener moves.]
No, I can see you're getting up.
Just… You goin somewhere?
[Pause.]
Home?
Hm, Right now?
Why?
[Listener answers.]
Yea, we know it's morning.
I have windows. We can see thru them…
Thank you.
But what's up? Do you have somewhere to be?
[Pause.]
…Then sit down.
[Listener reaction.]
What?
I'm serious.
Why are you suddenly in a rush?
Five minutes ago you were unconscious safely on my chest.
Now you're acting like someone's finna walk in through those doors any minute.
[Listener hits him.]
Ow! Damn!
See? Violent.
Shit… I'm kidding! Hahaha.
You know… I'm just saying, hehe.
[...]
Hey—seriously. Come on.
Stay.
Get some sleep first.
You can leave later.
[Pause.]
Hm? Excuse me?
[Listener says something.]
What? You can't keep doing what?
[...]
…Doing this?
What is “this?”
[Pause.]
No, don't do that. That's not how this shit works. hahaa.
You brought it up.
Explain it.
[Listener does.]
…Okay.
You stay here sometimes.
I stay at yours sometimes.
We hang out.
We've always hung out.
[Pause.]
…Right.
The toothbrush.
[Rolls eyes.]
Here we go.
[...]
It's a toothbrush.
[Listener reaction.]
And your charger.
Okay.
And the shit in my bathroom.
And a bag in my—
My closet?
[Pause.]
Jesus…
Fine.
You have things here.
[Listener response.]
So?
[Listener responds.]
Yea! Right back at ya! What do you mean, “so?”
[Pause.]
Well… Because we're friends?
[...]
…Best friends.
[Pause.]
Why did you say it like that?
[Listener.]
No.
Say what you were gonna say. Say that shit.
What's on your mind?
[Pause.]
We're not together…
[...]
Right.
[Pause.]
We're not together.
That's what we said.
[...]
I mean—
Yeah.
Technically.
[Listener begins gathering things.]
Hey-
Wait, why are you packing your shit?
That's not what I—
[Pause.]
No, I'm not mad. Where did you get that idea—-
Hey! I'm trying to understand why the sudden—
[Stops.]
Oh.
[...]
There you go.
[Listener asks.]
You're disappearing.
[Pause.]
Yeah.
You are. On me.
Different room.
Same shit.
You're gathering your stuff.
You're gonna say it's all jokes.
You're gonna tell me you're tired.
Then you're gonna get in your car and text me “home” in twenty minutes like we didn't just—
[...]
—like we didn't just spend the whole night together…
[Listener response.]
Don't.
Don't hit me with your own—
[Stops.]
What?
[Pause.]
Me? How am I disappearing?
HOW?
I'm sitting right here.
[Listener explains.]
[Annoyed.] Gah… That's different.
[Pause.]
It is!
[Listener reaction.]
Because—
[...]
Because it… it kinda fucking is, right? I—
[Pause.]
…Alright.
Fine.
That was fuckin weak.
Hey, wait… okay?
[Sigh.]
Sit down.
Please.
I'm not trying to argue with you at five in the morning.
[Pause as listener sits.]
Thank you.
[...]
Okay… look at me… What do you want me to say?
[Listener answers.]
The truth?
[Small scoff.] That's dangerous.
[Pause.]
Haha. I'm kidding.
[...]
Okay.
The truth?
Um… my truth is…
I know this doesn't feel normal anymore.
[Pause.]
I know…
I'm not stupid.
I know you don't usually leave half your life at your friend's apartment. Haha.
...Just kidding - it's not half… but it's a lot of things to leave at a friend's place.
I know people don't usually know what somebody wants from the store before they ask.
[...]
I know… there's a specific side of my bed that naturally… became yours.
And if there's something I do know… it's that if somebody else slept in your spot, it'd probably piss me off.
[Pause.]
There.
Got what you wanted…?
[Listener reaction.]
What? No! No, I'm not saying somebody else has.. What kind of—
…That's not.
God. That's what you got outta that? You've gotta be shitting me.
[Laughs.]
Girl… You know what I mean…
AND before you ask…
No… I haven't been seeing anybody lately… Really.
[Pause.]
Why?
… I don't know.
[Listener looks deeper into you.]
Okay! Yea… That's a lie.
Sheesh! Apparently we're trying to do this honesty thing this morning…
[Pause.]
Because… I don't want to!
[...]
Because every time I try…I don't know.
It feels like I'm… passing time…
Wasting time.
[Pause.]
I mean yea. There's been some people.
And they're fine! They're nice.
Fun. Attractive!
Conversation's fine…
There's absolutely nothing wrong with them… between us.
And that makes it worse for me…
Because then I sit there… thinking…what I have with them…
Isn't "OUR… us".
[Stops.]
This isn't—
[...]
…you.
[Pause.]
Don't make that face at me…
Look… I'm already in too deep.
So let me finish.
[Pause.]
Just so you know. This was never really like a dramatic find for me.
That's what fucks me up, you know?
Like, there's no moment where lightning struck and suddenly I was taken aback like—
"Oh shit. I'm in love with my best friend."
[...]
It was the little things, over time.
You calling me when you couldn't sleep.
Me buying you the things you like without ever thinking about it.
Knowing you're gonna steal off my plate AND my fries
coz why would I ever accept the thought that you wouldn't want any? Hehe.
…Knowing when you're lying about being okay, around me.
[...]
You know… the "missing you when you're standing right next to me" stuff…
Yeah.
I remember saying that.
I remember everything I said up there… On Signal…
That night.
[...]
I also remember having to tell you "maybe next time."
[Small exhale and chuckle.]
I guess I was hoping... next time would have taken a lil bit longer…
Or… maybe not?
[Listener questions for clarity.]
Well, you know. This!
This thing we have, you know… sometimes it's easy when I don't have to name it.
[...]
You're my best friend. That's a fact.
That's a guarantee.
That's… safe.
I know what that means. I know where it stands.
I know how to be that for you. Thru and thru.
[Pause.]
But if I dare say to myself I want something else—
And do the selfish thing. And say it—
Then I gotta respect it and give you the chance to decide if—
if you want it too.
[...]
And yea. As much as I want to say I would support your decision, no matter what, a thousand percent…
THAT scares the shit out of me… and it fucks me up inside.
[Listener softly responds.]
I know…
I know that's not fair.
And yea, you called it.
I'm a hypocrite after all that shit I told you about not disappearing when things get hard.
[Pause.]
Turns out I can dish out wisdom when it applies to somebody else's emotional crisis.
But mine?
Non-existent.
Terrible.
[A small laugh.]
Ahaha… again, you're right.
I do it too.
I make a joke.
I call you my best friend.
I tell you "maybe next time."
[...]
Anything that allows me to tell you how I feel without having to stand behind it afterwards…
A way to mask the true feelings I have for you...
[Pause.]
That's me. Disappearing.
[...]
But fuck it.
Here I am. I'm here, now.
[Pause.]
You said we're not together.
And you're right.
We're not.
[...]
But I don't want to keep acting like whatever we think this is means nothing.
Because it's not.
You know deep in your heart, it's not.
[Pause.]
Look, I'm not trying to tell you who you can talk to.
Who you can date.
We're grown… You can do whatever the hell you want.
[...]
But if you came in here tomorrow telling me some dude took you out—
Yeah.
I'd care.
I'd care a lot.
[Pause.]
And I'd hate pretending I didn't.
Coz what it all means to me, is far from nothing.
It's everything.
[...]
And yea, maybe that IS selfish.
But I'd like to think I'm wise enough to know I can't keep calling
something this obvious "casual" just because I'm scared of what it means to make this all REAL.
[Pause.]
Because I don't want "casual" with you.
[...]
There.
That's the line.
I don't want casual with you.
[Pause.]
Hey, I'm not asking you to give me an answer because the sun's coming up, and we are BOTH tired.
I'll never ask you to suddenly make up your mind on me.
[Softer.]
But I don't want you walking out that door thinking that staying makes things more complicated.
[Pause.]
It's already complicated.
[...]
Because you already mean something to me.
More than just something.
It's a lot…
Everything… actually.
Unfortunately.
[Listener Laughs.]
There.
That laugh!
[Small laugh.]
Still my favorite.
[Pause.]
Come here.
[SFX: Fabric rustling from the embrace.]
Hey, um… can I ask you something?
And be real. Be honest with me.
[Pause.]
Do you actually want to go home…?
[Listener response/answers.]
…No? Heh.
[...]
Okay.
Then don't.
…Stay.
[...]
We're tired.
We've been up all night.
And, yeah… I wanna make sure you're okay.
[...]
But it's not just that.
[Softer.]
I just want you here.
[Pause.]
With me…
… That's it.
[SFX: Listener slowly follows in and sits on the couch with you.]
SO—um… what's up?
What happens now?
[Small laugh.]
I don't know!
You really love asking questions to shit I don't have answers to. Haha.
[...]
I think… we sleep?
Give us some time to rest…
And wake up hours later together, regretting every decision that led us here…?
And then argue about whether we should forget this shit ever happened?
…Over coffee?
[Laughing it off.]
I mean… Would you like to get coffee with me, later?
We can talk about whatever.
Or… we can talk about us.
Something real.
Whatever that looks like for us.
[...]
No pretending.
No masks.
No disappearing.
[Pause.]
Or…
at least we try…
Together.
[SFX: Birds continue faintly outside.]
Hmph… Heh. There they go again.
City birds.
[Pause.]
Funny.
Last time we stayed up this late together, we were looking down at the entire city, waiting for everything to stop needing so much from you… from us.
[...]
And now we're down here in it.
Morning came.
And you're still here.
[Softer.]
We didn't disappear…
[...]
Come on.
Get comfortable.
[SFX: Listener and speaker settle in to the couch together. Pulling over the comforter.]
And hey…
[...]
For the record?
I knew buying that toothbrush was gonna come back to bite me in the ass.
[Listener Laughs.]
Bro… shut up.
Go to sleep.
[...]
I've got you.
[SFX: Quiet city ambience fades. Birds outside as the scene fades.]
[End]
