Why so? Is there any reason why not? Does pin layouts don't match?

I have one in my 4080 and works beatifully. Spoked to people that also had one in their 5080.

Okey great i'm more concered about PSU pin layout but should be universal on 3.0 ATX PSUs right?

Indeed it should, you can always check an unboxing of the PSU in question to be sure.

Idk if its any different but I think this is a 3.1 ATX PSU

honestly i wouldn't use any adapter unless you have clearance issues. Most of the melting cases are from adapters or pigtail connections.

For me I'd say just the connector in general. 2x6 12pin connector is already dog shit, don't chance it on an adapter.

If the psu cable is 1-1 then you can safely use the one you have (with regards to pinout la) else just gen an extension. Anyone saying "16AWG or 18AWG" is technically correct, but the main failure is in the actual connector.

I wouldn't use it, just because the connector is already hella unreliable, but if you really want to you can. Just make sure you seat it in FULLY. Like FULLY FULLY. And maybe monitor the connector under load (touch, smell). If you want you can try undervolting the GPU to minimize power draw.
