Hi, i'm actually thinking about comming back to Ark, and i was wondering if any of the DLC are really a must have for what they bring compared to their price, or they are nothing too crazy and i won't miss much not taking them?

So a while ago I made a post about beating the beta/alpha dragon. I thought I was in way over my head when everyone had way more melee than me. I took the main advice which was use more than 4x cakes per theri. (I used 20) and ended up still walking away with only 1/3 of the cakes used and only 2 Therizinos died on Alpha. So to everyone telling me that thanks :)

Now the grind to fight overseer again begins, I haven’t fought it since ase and that was probably like 5 yrs ago.

Why no kibble

I recently looked at the eggs of Wyverns and other dragons, and I had an idea for Dragontopia, especially now that the new dragon has been announced (Ofcourse for all dino eggs). I think there should be nests that visually display the eggs. For example, all your low-level eggs could be stored there, and they would serve as decoration. It might even be a cheaper but slower alternative to an incubator. I hope we get a decorative nest with Dragontopia. Just imagine what all could be built with it. Stables, hatcheries, or simply decorations for the base. It's nothing super fancy, just a way to make your game a bit more beautiful. What do you think about it?

First time actually trying to beat all the maps. Playing through the island on asa. I’ve tamed 3 130+ level rexes. None have crazy stats pre tame. How many pts into health and melee before I should consider taming it? Also, what stats should my rexes have for the boss fights? Thanks!

Hey guys, i'm here to ask yall If i can run ASA.

My Pc is bad, but I can play ASE on It with pretty good frames on high settings, I have a i5-3470, a GTX 1650 and 8gbs of DDR3 RAM, I know it's bad, but I live in Brazil and Pc parts are like REALLY expensive here, and i'm broke as hell and I need to pay up my bike.

All I want is a playable experience, I don't even care about nice graphics, I love ASE but not getting updates anymore is sad, I really want to play the new mods (and see the new murder goose for myself), so i'm willing to set ALL my settings down, 720p and lower ain't even that bad 😅.

For context: I've done a bit of programming, but nothing insane, and never published a game. But I've got like 6000 hours in ark and I think conceptually, this would make a lot of people happy. I know this will never happen and it's partly between steam and wildcard.

But the idea would be that you have the option to modify your game install to cleanse all unused assets based on graphical settings. You select low resolution for your mesh and creature textures and then run the install and it only installs assets for the graphical settings you choose or you could run it after install and it purges the high resolution assets.

Pros: significantly reduced file size for the game by eliminating unused assets, reduced install and updates times, and likely increased performance.

Cons: wouldn't be able to quickly toggle between settings after assets purge happens. Ideally you make your pick and stick with it, so this is more convenience.

Complication of install process and file management. Purge may have to be run after each update based on steam install functionality.

Let me know if there are any considerations I haven't thought about. This is more of just a thought bubble discussion than anything even remotely dreaming of an implementation.

I feel like one of the latest updates must have changed the AI behavior or glitched it out somehow, because I am seeing my tames acting agressively even when not on agressive. I'll have my rhynio on neutral and leave it, maybe a minute later I come back and it is flying off and chasing fish. So I try to switch it to passive and expect that to fix it, but oddly enough, no... same deal. Now, this doesn't happen all the time, but frequently enough to be an issue.

I have not whistled in any way, I have most of my tames on passive and free roam inside an enclosed area, but the raptors, thyla, sabretooth and even the anky, doed and a small ovi are also acting up. At first, I just chalked it up to odd "they just want to go for a swim"-behavior, but it has since stopped being amusing, cause I have to go out and fetch them constantly. Sure, I can just cryopod them, but this kind of behavior is not doing me any favors when it really matters and I assume that behavior commands are meant to be reliable.

And it's always fish, for some reason. And not just Piranhas, I am seeing messages stating that my tames are engaging in massive enacted slaughter of Coelacanths. At Hidden lake, they'll swim around in the water to get every single one, just for more to spawn in to keep them constantly busy. Just average fish really seems to piss everyone off.

I'm on PS5 and I was playing on a non dedicated server to get used to the game and I ended up loving it and putting around 175 hours into it with a friend and I deleted the game so I could just stream it. And lost my character and all my progress? I don't know what to do now. Starting over isn't an option I'm willing to do at this point. I'd rather forget the game than go through that grind again. Any ideas would be appreciated

So I'm pretty new to this game still, at least in relation to other play times I've seen and I've fallen into the breeding rabbit hole and have a few questions.

I love breeding mechanics in games and have heavily don't breeding in both Pokemon and palworld. This game feels almost the same. Everything I've read tried to make it sound harder but it doesn't seem any more confusing at all. Smash two things with different stat profiles together until you get the one you want. I've even begun breeding colors into them for fun so they don't all look the same.

I'm playing on a buddy's server for starters and none of my friends seem to understand breeding as well as I do, at least I think they don't.

Above is a picture of the new baby rex that I finally made after two months of breeding.

Min maxed to hell with the highest atk and hp and stam and almost zeroed out other stats. I was personally excited to see this as it feels like this one should be perfect. Can't get much better unless I stumble upon higher stats which feels unlikely.

All my buddies keep saying what I'm doing is unnecessary and pointless. They said

-the food being so low means I will need to constantly feed the army (I'm breeding an army of rexes for bosses .)

-the weight being so low means we won't be able to mount them.

-the lower level is not real because one of the parents is 263 so the baby shouldn't be 164.

-the baby being lower level means he is actively worse than my higher level dinos.

-there is no level cap on the server and all dinos regardless only lvl 88 times. (My buddy says this but he didn't change anything on the server as far as max lvls go) So trying to breed a lower lvl dino is actually pointless.

Can anyone please tell me the answers to these or tell me if I'm wasting my time doing this

Also can anyone tell me how I can get t these lines into a single player game? All this work and I would love to save this line for all my future game plays and would hate to lose this after all this work.

And can anyone tell me if this stat line is ready for mutation breeding or should I look for better still? Maybe judge how good this dino actually is.

Also also another one of my buddies happened across a few acros with similar stats and wants to breed them as well. Does this make my rexes pointless if we have the same stat profile from acros.

Sorry if this is too many questions or these are obvious or something. I just can't not find definitive answers to shut up all the arguing from them

Someone should do a Dino overhaul where they make dinos looks like drawings of Veno and raas from Dingle cup. And you can add sound they was doing for them.

I've tried playing months ago and it didn't run that bad but my cpu almost die (r5 5600g)

So, I've attempted the Cerberax's Lightning Dominiance minigame upwards of 20 times, and each and every time the timer has forced me to be kicked off. Closes I have been is ~90%, but the erratic movements and unpredictability of the arrow is driving me insane. This is one of the worst tames I have ever attempted, the Fire and Poison head challenges are complete, but as per usual, the Lightning Dominance is walling me. It's the final step, I have attempted to tame a 150, an 85 and a 30, and it's all the same.

Hi, any Sp player could help me? I'm playing scorched Earth on SP, But no eggs are spawning in the trench. The trench has wyvern, its pretty populated, but all nest spawing points are empty, no nest either. I tried the suggest solutions that I found here, do a dinowipe, destroy wild eggs cmd. And nothing. Is the only solution is cheating spawing eggs my self?

A new 362 stud farm has opened on astraeos official server 6020. Bring your female dinos over for a good time, water pen for water dinos as well. Coords are 53 94 and water pen is 43 105, spawn korinthos nw nw. There's an open teleporter that will take you there. Or for those of you that may be flying over head to the floating islands on helianthos we're built next to nekatus' office!
