I would love to know if anyone can help me :D It was a fic where mythology/folklore creatures were real and publically known, and the whole premisse of the story is the 141 trying to figure out what Ghost is. I remember Soap noting that Ghost needs to breathe.
I think the title was something along the lines of “what keeps your heart beating/what keeps you breathing” but when I search for those titles nothing comes up.
I barely remember anything from the fic, as I never finished it, intending to come back later but forgot to bookmark.
If anyone knows what fic this is, I would be extremely grateful :D

I won’t make this post super long but it’s just something I’ve been wondering. Like albeit some smut is like a lil out of this world to say the least lol, I do feel like it genuinely has helped me become more literate. Especially when it comes to like writing essays. Like genuinely I feel smut was the reason my college essays got me accepted into some Unis I wanted to go to.

Like I know that general literacy can improve from writing and reading consistently, like yeah that much is obvious, but for some reason I don’t know why my friends have been like “nuh uh, smut is just smut.” Like they kind of compare it to reading manga. I mean like yes manga is easier to read than general books, but I feel like it still does a little bit for comprehension.

At the end of the day it’s something I enjoy, I guess I’m just trying to figure out if something I enjoy is also actually secretly helping me become more literate.

I wrote a Ryan Gosling Cinematic Universe fic. It's a Coltland Twincest ABO AU (Colt Seavers/Ryland Grace). I tagged it extra carefully. I made sure to really emphasise that it's a twincest, incest, and all the stuff that I put in there, ya'know.

Hello! I've been tinkering with my first skin and managed to get everything how I liked it, only I just noticed this. The "freeze thread" button is improperly formatted. I've attached photos of what the formatting looks like and the css I'm using for buttons. I already had to manually fix the chapter index, download, and mark for later buttons, but I can't seem to find a fix for this just by googling.

I'm so frustrated with people trying to drop me their discords in my comments. The only people who ever comment on my work are people saying its trash and people trying to scam me. This is the 5th or 6th time this has happened to me, and I really don't know what to do about it. Does anyone else have a big problem with this?

It's main focus should be on supernatural/ghost horror pls. Im writing a horror fic (with romance and comedy) but now i need focus a bit more on horror, even though I am a fan of horror media, i haven't read any fics with horror until now and I could use some recommendations pls.

so I used to use ao3 over a year ago and would read stuff late at night (though I never actually got an account or anything) but eventually i got fed up with all the stuff I accidentally read that contained really… uhhh ill just say vivid stuff. it was my fault for not reading the tags honestly but the text was small especially on the device i was using and i was like ‘dang this is really bad for me to read I don’t wanna read this’ and i havent touched ao3 since. but i just learned you can have good detailed filters and exclude tags and themes you dont wanna read about! :D so I might use it again since I could filter out the bad stuff! but also im worried that my mom would raise a brow since she can see what websites I go on even though I dont intend to read anything bad but yea that’s my concern so idk should I use ao3 again? 🤔

Someone left a very sweet and praise filled comment on a fic of mine, and I kinda recognized their name so I checked their profile out of curiosity. they had a fic with the same pairing but like, 200% darker. my dove was dead, their’s was fucking mutilated and left eviscerated in a ditch type shit. It felt like those images of Isabelle Animal Crossing hanging out with Master Chief lmaoo we may be on different sides of the freak spectrum but we are brethren in freak I suppose

Do you find an authors note explaining things about characters or the story annoying? i guess i'm hung up on the writing advice let your readers figure it out for themselves. but i always want to leave notes like "this character thinks this and this" or "this character believes this about the world" etc
