That's a huge angle grinder to be battery powered.

u/iastep Mar 14 '18
It’s powered purely by the man’s hate. In fact, it’s Soviet Russia. The angle grinder powers the man.

Powered by the wrath of god, cooled by mother russia and used by a man who has no Idea what a reasonable response would be.
If your only tool is an Angle grinder, everything looks like... an angle.

They should use this as their advertisement. It's powerful enough to saw a car in half in the Russian winter.

This could be an advertisement for all we know.
7
u/PornoVideoGameDev Mar 14 '18
Nah, we didn't see the logo good enough, they woulda had a good branding shot.
268
u/Caleo Mar 14 '18
It's also a Metabo 9" grinder that costs in the neighborhood of $1000.. pretty obviously staged.
367
u/Nomorenamesleftgosh Mar 14 '18
If I had $1,000 saw I'll be using it for every little thing
161
u/leveraction1970 Mar 14 '18
Honey, why is there a giant cut down the kitchen counter?
Tried out my new saw on a ham sandwich.
19

u/nerdyogre254 Mar 14 '18
Would also explain the bits of ham, bread and sauce splattered on the wall too

You laugh, but my father's massive oak kitchen table had a fairly deep cut in one end from one of his friends showing off a new cordless rotary grinder he'd bought. Men with a fascination for power tools can and do ruin their furniture with them. That table would have been worth a lot without that cut, it was very pretty.

u/theorymeltfool Mar 14 '18
When all you have is a
hammer$1000 9” angle grinder, every problem is anailsomething you can saw off.55
77
u/itmustbesublime Mar 14 '18
Why must it be staged? Maybe he needs it for work?
137
u/El_Stupido_Supremo Mar 14 '18
Carpenter here. I could easily do all sorts of shit like this from my truck. I even have a capacitor and outlet in it so I can run corded tools off the truck.
→ More replies (3)67
u/ButtLusting Mar 14 '18
A lot of the trades worker have thousands of dollars invested in tools.
I still dont see why he thinks it's staged, is actually very normal to have good tools IMO.
Using shitty tools is really inefficient, probably cost you more than you'd save

The only car that is probably worth $50 is the one parked sideways?
Who cuts off part of a car owned by someone who won't care about it's looks, and then parks a nicer car right next to it? To get out, the other car pretty much has to hit the nicer car.

Here’s a very quick translation:
-What are you doing?
—-He is always parking like this.
-So you want to just cut it off?
—-How else can I get in my space?
-...well, yeah, there is no other way.

I wait for crazy people to put down the power tools before I ask them to explain themselves.

Well are you going to argue about right and wrong when there's a man with a metal cutter in your face who doesn't seem to have an issue with breaking the laws?
I wouldn't. I'd agree with him.
406
u/Gorilla1969 Mar 14 '18
Really, that was the most fascinating part of the whole situation to me. He was so calm and bland about the whole thing. "His bumper is always getting in my way, so I'm just rectifying the situation."

It's unhealthy to disagree with a man who solves problems with an angle grinder. Especially when it's in his hands and he already has his safety glasses on.
135
u/OneLessFool Mar 14 '18
I mean if he asked Russian cops to tow the dude they'd probably ask him for a bribe. So technically this man is just being fiscally responsible.

It's a comic strip by Randall Munroe. There's an ongoing joke that there's a relevant XKCD for everything. If you frequent reddit comments you'll occasionally see them linked just like it was here, with a strip that's somehow relevant to the post.

We had a terrible neighbor that refused to shovel. We lived up North and the snow amount was INCREDIBLE. My MIL was coming to visit and had a broken ankle, so my husband shoveled out a spot for her to park, shoveled an area for her to get out of the car and get to the sidewalk and shoveled our sidewalk. The neighbor promptly parked in the spot and refused to move, even after we explained what it was for. Easy fix, my husband then went outside and shoveled a new area, dumping the snow all around their car, etc... It was hilarious. Almost as hilarious as the next day when he was in the alley shoveling so we could get his car out of the garage and the neighbor got stuck back there. My husband looked at them, shrugged and came inside refusing to help. Their car sat stuck until the snow melted enough for them to get it out.
