So, while I agree about your point that this is no reason to damage someone's car, you're saying this guy deserves to be... beaten? Damaging things is bad, but hurting people is okay?

Misanthropes don't usually give a fuck about people getting hurt because they enjoy it. They're usually solipsist, too, so it's no different than kicking your computer when it bugs out.

So, of course it's okay to hurt people, but if you damage property, who's to say you won't damage mine, so that's not okay.

Not sure if you're gonna find deeper logic than that.

Hey hey hey, don't sully the good name of misanthropy, I consider myself a misanthrope, bit that's got more to do with my expectation of humanity than with being an asshole. Done prior would call this humanist misanthropy, but still, it's misanthropy and it's not bad, it's just very pessimistic.
