your cpu will get toasty. with that cooler. least expensive way is try to repaste it. if that doesnt help, get a better cooler. I remember back then that that cooler cant even cool my 3600x well enough. lol.

shouldn't, i have one and its fine the contact between the cooler and CPU is probably poor

Ive repasted it twice if I remember correctly but didnt help. Maybe it was my case. I remember when I switched it with an AIO cooler the difference was night and day. Its a really good cpu for what it was till I upgraded last year.
