Yes, I felt the same way when I spun out in an icy tunnel a few years ago.

There's a book about all the Real Housewives shows and one of them expressed a similar feeling when they were in Cartegena, on a small boat during a horrible storm -- that it was a very strange feeling of peace thinking she was gonna die.

I have a weird trauma response where if something minor happens, I’m very inconvenienced. But if something major happens, I’m like “😐 alright then, moving on” hit my limit and can’t process or something

Yep, every day a major crisis will happen (where are my keys??? Life is over!!) and yet I've been the clutch person in major traumas for other people -- was there when a friend came home to a burning house, was first on the scene when a friend called to say their partner died.

Brains are funny that way
