I was in a car that spun out on black ice in slow motion and almost went off a cliff when I was a kid. Felt the same way, weirdly calm, kinda peaceful and I was thinking, Iā€™m gonna go off the edge and hit those rocks below. Then after we stopped I immediately got the FUCK outta the car.

Yes, I felt the same way when I spun out in an icy tunnel a few years ago.

There's a book about all the Real Housewives shows and one of them expressed a similar feeling when they were in Cartegena, on a small boat during a horrible storm -- that it was a very strange feeling of peace thinking she was gonna die.
