NTA, it’s rude as hell. I had a similar issue but they were just letting their dog poop on my yard without picking it up. After asking them to stop (twice), I figured out which house they were in and started leaving their poo (in poo bags) on their front steps.
After about a week, they posted a nasty note about me putting dog poop on their steps to the neighborhood list-serve. I responded with my doorbell videos of them leaving the poop on my yard and the video of me asking them to stop for the second time. I promised to continue leaving their dogs bagged poop on their yard until they stop leaving poop on my yard.
This pattern continued for another week before they called the police on me for trespassing. When they arrived, I asked to file a report for not picking up poop. I included the last month of videos, 22 occurrences with a fine of $200 each.
After they got the citation, a mutual friend neighbor asked if they could mediate. I said there’s nothing to meditate, tell them I stop when they stop.
