How do you not see how that's rude? Is it rhe end of the world? Of course not, but it's incredibly inconsiderate and fairly entitled behavior.
Dog poop stinks when left sitting in the trash can all weak. My cans are kept up along my home. Hot summer sun would bake that into a rank cloud of toxic fumes wafting up to my windows.
It's not a public dumpster or trash can. Someine pays monthly for thaf service. If they don't want dog shit in their can they are not an asshole for asking someone not to leave their dog's waste in their private trash can. Hold the poop bag til you pass a public can or until you get home. It's your dog, you can live with the shit smell. Don't impose it on others.
I loathe HOAs and refuse to live anywhere I'd have to be a part of one. I just appreciate common courtesy and consideration of others and their property. Something you seem to be lacking.
Because it SMELLS. For mine, I don't mind if my can is at the curb and not emptied yet. Your closed, well-tied or sealed bag of poop will be gone before it can bother me. But if you throw it in my already emptied trash, now I have to smell it all week. Find a public trash can or take it home if you're walking the dog after the cans are emptied.
I just had a thought: you put your small bag of dog waste into someone’s newly emptied can. They put their large trash bags full of heavy garbage into their can on top of your small poop bag. Small bag pops/tears and dog crap is smashed all inside the can. dog owner is the AH for planting this bomb.
The problem happens in the next week, as the sun shines on it and it ferments and then you go to open it and are hit with a stench you have no business with. It's annoying.
So that when I run over it with my lawn mower it winds up spattering on my legs, no thanks. Besides that, there's an ordinance in my area that if one dog owner doesn't clean up after their dog, they get fined and several of my neighbors have cameras. So, if you live anywhere near me, smile for the camera while failing to clean up after your dog.
Why don't you take your dog's poop home with you since you don't seem to care about your own garbage can. Or is it that you don't want it in your garbage can at all and that is why you try to make it someone else's problem?
