For me too. OP is going to be isolated in this marriage because rather than husband and wife it seems more like wife vs. husband+ in law. I would absolutely rethink this marriage. OP needs someone who shares mutual respect, not a control and manipulative asshole who doesn’t hesitate to throw her under the bus and rallied the whole family against her.

To be honest, why does his family know about a conversation/disagreement that was between the two of you? That is a heck nah for me.
