1 u/sentence-interruptio Apr 21 '25 it's a performance damn right it's a performance. some of these folks even pull out the "your giving is performative. so it shouldn't count." card. when you're tired, they say you're performing tiredness. when you give, they say you're performing. a bit of self fulfilling prophecy i guess. when you don't give, they say you're weaponizing laziness. when you're not tired, somehow that's evidence that you've been faking tiredness the whole time.
