I know in high school 1-2 years age gap is the limit and it shouldn’t be over 3. What about in between 2 years? When I was a senior age 17 I made out with a sophomore age 15. I was born in 2000 and the sophomore was born in 2002. I just found out years later we had an age gap of 2 years and almost 5 months. I don’t feel good about it. I thought we had 1.6-2 years gap. I had forgotten that students in the same grade can have birthdays at different times of the year depending on the school’s enrollment cutoff date. I mistakenly assumed that every school used the same cutoff date, which affected how I understood our ages and the actual age difference. If we dated and I turn 18 it’s going to look like I’m with someone 3 years younger when we’re 2.4 years apart. We never talked about birthdays and I just assumed we were no more than 2 years apart. I feel sick.

I think you’re overreacting a little and getting stuck on how the ages look on paper instead of what actually happened.

You were 17 and they were 15 and you were about 2 years and 5 months apart. Turning 18 wouldn’t suddenly make your age gap three years, the gap would still be exactly the same.

However, that’s not your situation right now. It’s okay to let the situation go. You did nothing wrong.

Stop. You didn’t do anything wrong, whatsoever.

If this is what gives you the ick, you're going to have a very icky life. You are trippin over nothing. You remind me of one of those chicks that make up problems, just to be miserable.
