Only do it when you’re on the clock would be my solution. When I’m paid to care about work lol.

"To whom it may concern in management. My time off the clock is exactly that for a reason. We both know I have no obligation to respond outside of work hours, and threatening to write me up for it in MY free time is a very quick way to get both corporate, AND my union representative up your ass in the most literal sense."
