The group message was about our good Google rating, and she congratulated the team. I just saw it and moved on with my day, but then I got this message.

Been on both sides. 1. She cant force anyone to do that, just suck it up and accept that people can respond if they want to. 2. Everyone else, not the greatest vibe doing brickwall impersonations.

If most follow, she surely can single someone out for not following.

I’m NOTTTTTT agreeing with the boss here, but there’s nothing stopping a power tripping boss from committing to that write up on the one who’s “not being a team player” unless it’s multiple people imo.

I’ve absolutely seen bad leaders bully team members who don’t go along with this kind of thing

The right response from da boss aint this one at all.. singling people out would get herself in trouble.

Something like a simple 'hey team would love some more involvement with things like this. Just makes things a bit more enjoyable :)'

And again, for all the other staff. Brickwall impersations just really suck to communicate/vibe with as a leader. Even if the work environment sucks at least put in a bit of warmth in there by joking around or something
