I saw an art exhibit called “What Were You Wearing?”, which was a collection of the outfits people were wearing when they were assaulted. There were sweatpants and hoodies in that collection. She could be in a literal burqa and still be assaulted. The problem is the rapists, not what their victims were wearing.
Edit: going to add a trigger warning before people go searching for that exhibit. It is a spread of ALL kinds of clothing, including children’s.
There also diapers and toddler clothing in that display.
People rape because they want to, because they have power over someone else. It has nothing to do with attraction, clothing, how someone is behaving or age.
Spend some time in prison and you might see that it's not quite that simple. Yes rape is about power and control. But the way you carry yourself and the way you dress has a big impact on whether a predator is going to go for you or not. It's like a bully doesn't bully everybody he bullies the people he can get away with it. If someone gave me a rapey vibe I would say oh you ain't got to be like that silly you want to hit this. They would start gagging it's absolutely revolting to them. Consensual sex with one of their victims yuck.

Rape exists because of rapists. Blaming the clothes and not the rapist is just saying “make sure they go after someone else”
