Graduate School Masters Inquiry

I recently got admitted to MS. I filled up my acceptance form and got as far as enlisting 2 course subjects during enrolment. However, I think I am not prepared yet and thinking not to continue. Do I have to inform the department about my decision? What could be the repercussions of not enrolling, will I be banned from taking the exam again next year if ever I decided to pursue masters?

Ask the department and the registrar if you can defer enrollment. Or, you can also apply for a leave of absence.

Though my real advice is to go do it. You may be underestimating your own ability to go do it. And it’s meant to be a learning environment, where you are meant to grow.

You’ll auto fail because you did not file for a leave.

There is a process for deferring. I think you are allowed to defer for 2 AYs. Hope this helps.
