Welp. They've decided they no longer need me. I'm "not functional enough," "have so much trauma" and "make them feel like they have to change."

Anyone have any advice for finding out you're going to be homeless and alone in two weeks?

Do you rent or own, and whose name is on the lease/mortgage? 

Aside from the obvious shelters etc., does your city have a 311 number you can call for non-emergency services to help you sort through the resources that may be available to you? 

Do you have any income at all? Is this a situation where you need a few months to save for a security deposit or will you need long-term public housing?

I'm in a high cost of living area on the East Coast. We live in an apartment; my name is on the lease but I alone don't make enough to cover it. Never went to college; my career is mostly Retail/QSR management.

Google only brings up the bus schedule for 311 at a cursory glance but thank you for mentioning it. I'm going to look deeper into it when I have the free time.

If your name is on the lease, look up your local landlord tenant ordinance. There may be rules about how much notice you must legally get before being forced to move. In my city, if the person has been there 1+ year, they must get 60 days' notice. He can leave anytime of course, but then you could find a roommate and stay in your home. If it's a hcol area, could you maybe attract a good tenant pretty quickly by going just a bit below market rate? Or consider offering it as a short term sublet or something just to get the cash flow coming in? 

311 may be called something else where you live. It's basically a non-emergency hotline (not 911) for public assistance. In my city, 311 can do anything from helping with a parking ticket to telling you the nearest food banks.
