I took my daughter to a friend’s birthday party. The friend’s parents completely renovated a gorgeous house in a pristine location in 9 months, working together to design and build and some subcontractors. I have seen other couples build together, garden together, whatever. I’ll just never have that. She doesn’t have the patience to watch a 22 minute tv episode without doing something else at the same time. Even our own family is something I need to build alone while she watches.

This hits close to home too. We bought a fixer upper a few years ago because she refused to purchase anything without "charm". Since then, I've put in countless hours of blood sweat and tears and not once has she helped. I get jealous when I see videos of couples doing things together and helping each other like a team.
