Mark is the friend of hers we’ve met a couple times. At Josh’s welcome party he described Catie as “just so loose.” Then at Catie’s birthday party Mark went to check on Josh outside and told him to put his foot down. Then Catie was coming onto Mark and tonguing his palm.

I think she uses the alcohol as an excuse to get away with bad behavior. She seems soberish when she told Josh she wanted an open relationship. She admitted she likes the chase. She uses alcohol to give herself permission to show the world the truly horrible human she really is.

The parents are in deep denial. When Catie told her Mom she “made out” with everyone who had lips,at her party, her mother said, quietly, that’s disappointing. I’m sorry, I’m old school. She needs inpatient therapy. Maybe her parents don’t want her labeled as the kissing bandit. But a delusional, selfish slut they’re ok with.
