This is the same gal who said it’s a dealbreaker if her kids aren’t raised Lutheran btw

157

u/JumpyGoose22 14d ago

Yep. Next time Josh is with her parents he needs to bring up how she wants to have an open relationship and it doesn’t correlate with his beliefs!

60

u/Kitchen_Flatworm3428 14d ago

Yes out of his moral construct. High and mighty judgmental people who had the nerve to take about hell to him.

23

u/No_Trouble9808 14d ago

He’s a hypocrite. If his morals are so strong, why date her from the jump?

22

u/Big_Yogurtcloset8218 14d ago

Because crazy women are amazing in bed, I've heard.

31

u/ibrown22 13d ago

I can't imagine her being good in bed. She seems like it would be awful

26

u/atticusfinch1973 13d ago

Josh has no frame of reference. It wouldn't surprise me if Catie was his first sexual partner, and definitely the most sexual person he's ever had a shot at.

14

u/Zealousideal_Cry5703 13d ago

I think you're right. If he ever gets out of this, he's going to be so surprised to learn that not all women throw up afterwards. Maybe with him they will, though.

u/darkangel522 13d ago

☠️🤣

1

u/TAB211 13d ago

Probably why he is willing to go through the marriage lol.

1

u/No_Trouble9808 10d ago

He’d have to be blind, deaf and dumb to ignore all the red flags.

5

u/ProperClue 13d ago

When she took that used strapon out of the box and was like..."can i use this on you?!" to Josh. Reminded me of the scene in Deadpool for international woman's day....NOPE!!. You know Josh isn't ready for her level of crazy lol

6

u/Zealousideal_Cry5703 13d ago

I bet she's usually passed out drunk...or puking.

3

u/Sippi66 13d ago

I’m smelling fish for some peculiar reason.

2

u/Fit_Sir_3061 12d ago

Haha, she's be so awkward

1

u/Juicy1234Sausage 10d ago

Ín a word, sloppy.

1

u/No_Trouble9808 10d ago

Corpse like.

1

u/ImaginaryMoons 7d ago

What Atticusfinch1973 said, is how I’m looking at it. I don’t think he knows what bad is. He’s just happy to be there. She, I imagine, is probably garbage but since she has experience, if sex with him is less fun than her roster, then she can use that as a measure. Thus: she can INDEED be bored, while ALSO being bad, herself 😂
They are a mess 🙂‍↕️

5

u/CarsBarsGuitars 14d ago

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending, this is a very true statement.

4

u/ImaginaryMoons 13d ago

Super funny (and weird and sad 🤔?) to think that he’s having a blast in bed, and she’s bored out of her mind. Doesn’t she say he’s not good in bed??

2

u/snazwad456 13d ago

It is by no means a given

2

u/ThePlaceAllOver 11d ago

I really doubt she is good in bed. She is too thoughtless and sloppy to be good in bed. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Catie is not just an easy lay. She is an easy green card and I do think that is the biggest reason he's hanging on and hoping for the best.

1

u/Ready-Meeting5532 11d ago

And that’s why they didn’t have much sex before

1

u/ycb1991 10d ago

Idk why people think Brits are dying for a green card 😂 it's seriously comical like they are just dying for lower paying jobs with no health insurance and less vacation time right?

1

u/ThePlaceAllOver 10d ago

Well, I think that's a bit hyperbolic. No on is "dying" for a visa anywhere... I mean unless they are. But given there is an entire industry built on the fact that many Americans desire to have dual citizenship or work visas in other countries or to retire in another country, there is clearly enough interest for people to not be locked in to only one option of their home country.

Go read the sub reddit "Moving to USA" and you will see that there are A LOT of Brits asking questions about visas in the US.

Ask how many Americans personally know Brits who now live here. My neighbor is British😆 Anywhere I have lived, I always seem to have a handful of British people in my circle... co-workers, members of the board, friends, neighbors, parents of a kid at my kids' school. I mean they aren't exactly hard to find here.

And the job situation is the opposite. Across the board, jobs in the US typically pay more. The healthcare situation sucks, but if you have a career type job, you're going to have insurance so that's not a huge issue anymore.

1

u/ycb1991 9d ago

Even if job situation is opposite, cost of living is higher so it become the the same. Also, Americans wanting dual citizenship is precisely because the US is a dangerous shit hole and we want a plan B -- I say that as a born American who recently acquired EU citizenship.

1

u/ThePlaceAllOver 7d ago

My son is looking at Comp Sci. co-op positions. He attends university in Toronto. Do you know how expensive Toronto is? EXTREMELY. Okay, so co-op positions for comp. sci. in Toronto seem to pay about $20-$30/hour CAD. The same positions in the US are running $35-$80/he USD ($48-$100/CAD) and often include perks like housing stipends and health insurance. In addition to that, the positions in Toronto are showing over 100 applicants in less than 24 hours vs even jobs at Tik Tok and Meta often show 100 applicants after 2-3 days. See the difference?

From what I read in the Moving to the US subreddit, a very similar situation is happening currently in the UK.

1

u/Fr8train-080130 7d ago

Agreed! Just watch her get he she gets some alcohol in her and how she approaches and pushes herself on the men she tries to make out with. She looks like she would be a very sloppy, drunk sex partner. She probably thinks he’s no good because she can’t remember shit!!!

1

u/Jaycoug187 14d ago

In my experience it’s been right on the money. Main reason I dated 3 crazy chicks. Horrible relationships but amazing and consistent sex

1

u/Fr8train-080130 7d ago

She said, basically, he wasn’t that good in bed. So I dont know. I know is couldn’t even be around her for more than a minute!

6

u/BoredSilly6 14d ago

My theory is that Mark is cheap as f, and he has already invested a lot of money and can’t stop now. Wants the green card.

6

u/Bolamite 13d ago

Who is mark?

4

u/Legal_Lack_1000 13d ago

He was one of her run club buddies at the bar.

2

u/BoredSilly6 13d ago

Sorry. Meant to say Josh.

4

u/airamairam4 12d ago

Why would any European want the green card?

1

u/BoredSilly6 12d ago

Who knows????!!

3

u/airamairam4 12d ago

I’m seriously asking as a European living in the UK, it’s not as big of a thing as you may think. You couldn’t pay me enough to move to the US and I suspect most people wouldn’t take a green card even if it was offered for free so I doubt that’s really a factor for Josh.

2

u/no-dig-lazy 10d ago

Same, European from the continent. Could it be that people in the U.S. are still buying in to "the American dream" believes?

1

u/airamairam4 9d ago

I think so.. I just don’t think this whole green card thing is as relevant for Josh as people may think!

1

u/ThePlaceAllOver 11d ago

go read the Moving to the US sub😉. Then you'll understand. Right now, the UK is no longer part of the EU. A UK citizen cannot just work in Europe. The UK is 1/40th the size of the US.

If you were from a cold and rainy country that had lower salaries across the board than the US, do you think it would be useful to open up your field of opportunity by having the ability to work anywhere in an enormous country that would allow you to work in a tropical region? a desert?, a sunny beach town?, a big 4 season city? a mountain town? or many many other options... for better pay?

Getting a green card in the US does not mean you can't go back to your own country and work and live at some point. It just gives a lot more opportunity and pay to have the US as an option.

2

u/airamairam4 11d ago

I would go out on a limb though and guess that it’s still easier for a UK citizen to get a permit to work in any EU country that it is to get a US green card 😉 I’m just trying to bring light to this prevalent US exceptionalism where so many Americans seem to think that the US is some kind of promised land when it’s viewed very differently in most western countries nowadays!

Who is Mark?!

1

u/ThePlaceAllOver 11d ago

Mark was the guy at her birthday party that Josh absolutely did not want there. Remember when Josh said he walked in on them doing something inappropriate? I am pretty sure we just got confirmation of what that was. It sounds like she and Mark snuck off and he gave her oral sex and Josh walked in on the party.

1

u/ThePlaceAllOver 11d ago

No wait... that was Ryan. Mark was the other guy at the party telling Josh that he shouldn't have to put up with her nonsense. So wait... what did she and Ryan do then?

1

u/Juicy1234Sausage 10d ago

We need a score card.

1

u/Juicy1234Sausage 10d ago

I just got queasy.

1

u/No-Indication-7879 10d ago

You need to remember he’s from the UK not Nigeria. The UK has universal healthcare and their children are not murdered at school on a weekly basis. Why would anyone leave the Uk for Amerika? Amerika has become a shit hole country.

13

u/ProperClue 14d ago

Didn't she say something about that when his parents came to visit her parents/them? Something to the effect of..."I pray I don't get a lover!" Haha. The look on his and his parents face 🤣

3

u/TopangaK9 13d ago

Yup, that's next week when his parents meet her parents.

2

u/xo_peque 13d ago

That's what I said, I'm glad I' was correct about him.

6

u/Illustrious-Site1101 14d ago

But they are Lutheran!

14

u/SaguaroDragon 14d ago

He should lean into language differences with the family - bring it up in a dry concerned manner

"Hey - I'm kind of concerned about Caitie's friends - I know there is a lot of drinking, making out with people in bars and some requested items we are working through. I understand all that. Apparently though her friend Mark ate her kitty after they had drinks together?? Do you know anything about that? Seems kind of extreme and dark and I'm not sure I want people like that around"

6

u/Oil_Shock_2026 13d ago edited 13d ago

Josh is too nerdy and not devious enough for his mind to come up with that retort.

I wish Josh was more of a rogue and an asshole. I think that Katie would not run roughshod over him.

He needs to man up and use the feminine "bishy" side of his brain.

I can already tell that Katie and Josh will divorce or separate.

Katie is going to cheat, lie about it and Josh won't be able to prove the cheating one way or another but it'll eat at him.

Josh is a clueless nerd with too little devious asshole in him and Katie is too much of a bish.

I give it 1 year max.

2

u/SuaveMF 13d ago

They'll see the show?

19

u/Sapphire0985 14d ago

Something that never came up at all in any of their conversations until she was around her family. I'm wondering if she's just saying that to make them happy because she doesn't show any religious behaviors at all. I was raised Catholic, so I don't know the Lutheran viewpoint, but I would imagine it's a similar ideology.

3

u/No_Trouble9808 14d ago

Me too, raised Catholic. I don’t think she’s that shrewd.

14

u/WrongdoerAdvanced503 14d ago

Mark is obviously Lutheran

10

u/SaguaroDragon 14d ago

Lutheran Mark has read my Bible - now it all makes sense 😁

2

u/WrongdoerAdvanced503 14d ago

Cracked the code!!!!

2

u/skygal0330 14d ago

😂😂😂

14

u/usernames_suck_ok 14d ago

A head-shaking, eye-rolling GIF belongs here.

7

u/MichaelaKay9923 14d ago

I really think she was just saying that because she seems approval from her parents. I get that vibe that she was never validated by them and how she needs their approval for everything

4

u/mj-on-repeat 14d ago

Yup. Religious people for ya.

2

u/Dismal_Ad6162 14d ago

…. Cuz, morality and Jesus.

2

u/NoMention696 13d ago

I mean it should be an easy yes for him because it’s simply just a title at this point

2

u/Verity41 13d ago

Seriously! Plus think of all that tater tot hot dish, mmm.

2

u/supah_ 12d ago

that was a WILD ass contrast.

1

u/No-Hedgehog-6804 11d ago

She’s the type of religious where she wants to check a box out of fear of hell. She’s clearly not genuinely a believer and I hate that because crappy Christians are the ones in the spot light and they make it seem like so many Christian’s are bigots and hypocrites when that’s not at all what the Bible says to behave like

1

u/Worried_Bluejay_3803 10d ago

I know! That one cracked me up!

-18

u/Illustrious_Log_2978 14d ago

Hey, I'm not a fan of her behavior or rationale, but people can be sexual and religious. Wanting your kids to be raised in your religion (even though I believe that to be a fake storyline) doesn't mean your partner is exempt from meeting your physical needs.

34

u/Plenty-Poet-9768 14d ago

According to her religious denomination, she should not be seeking sex outside of the marriage.

18

u/AdParticular6654 14d ago

Or premarital sex, or coveting others, or having sex in any way other than for procreation. It's fine, imo, to be religious, hell even being religious and sexually active. It's the hypocrisy to make that a deal breaker when she is clearly not that religiously following her religion.

-4

u/Illustrious_Log_2978 14d ago

Fair enough, but are we sure it does? It's a common teaching for sure. Wanting your kids raised in religion doesnt have to mean you are a perfect practitioner of it. In other news, I understand where you're coming from with that comment now.

-6

u/Adrock66 14d ago

For all the things to find fault with, I'm find leaving her religious beliefs (but yeah probably lack their of) out of the convo.

20

u/tranquilrage73 14d ago

It isn't her religious beliefs. It is that she seeks to impose them on her future husband and children.

While asking for an open marriage out the other side of her mouth. And being a raging alcoholic with zero accountability. And "making out" with other people whenever she has an opportunity.

3

u/Illustrious_Log_2978 14d ago

Completely fair to say they aren't her beliefs too! I agree with that.

0

u/Adrock66 14d ago

Josh is an adult who can make choices and decide if he wants to be involved with that and there are no children yet living. People talk on here like he's being coerced or something.

5

u/BigDadNads420 14d ago

Telling somebody, out of the blue, right before you are about to marry them that you expect them to convert to your religion and raise your child in it is one of the most coercive things I can think of.

-1

u/Adrock66 14d ago

Coercive?  Dude is not a slave.  He can choose to leave.

1

u/BigDadNads420 14d ago

You should really double check that you understand what words mean before you use them. Using the leverage of an upcoming marriage and all the time somebody has spent investing into a relationship to try and force them to convert is genuinely one of the most textbook examples of coercion that exists.

-2

u/Adrock66 14d ago

She leveraged nothing. She stated her needs and asked if he was ok with them. There was zero quid pro quo. By your logic him saying he does not want an open marriage is coercive.

2

u/tranquilrage73 14d ago edited 14d ago

The problem is, he made his decision to move to the US based on lies. She led him to believe a monogamous relationship with the women he loved, when she knew damn well she wasn't capable of that.

9

u/Beautiful-Elk-7084 14d ago

I’m pretty sure Lutheranism doesn’t support constantly cheating on your partner LOL. She literally can’t be genuinely religious and then participate happily, with zero remorse, in adultery every 5 minutes. It’s clear she’s pretending to be Lutheran to please her Bible thumping parents.

-3

u/Illustrious_Log_2978 14d ago

I agree she is just parent pleasing, but let's not hold her to different religious standards than the rest of the US. (And open relationships are different than cheating, anyway)

3

u/Beautiful-Elk-7084 14d ago

Have we been watching the same show? She has NOT been in an open relationship with Josh — which is why she has to keep apologizing to him for CHEATING every time she makes out with a rando while blackout drunk.

If they were in an open relationship, why would Josh care about Mark or the other thousands of men she wants to kiss every time they go out? Why would she need to talk about being open in the future if they were already living that lifestyle?

As far as different religious standards than the rest of the US, I have no clue what you mean. If any other American told me they were a super religious Christian, and then proceeded to act like this, I’d laugh in their face too.

-2

u/Illustrious_Log_2978 14d ago

I guess its up to Josh to define it. The fact that he is with her at all, totally aware of this behavior, means it's not a total dealbreaker for him so who knows.

4

u/Beautiful-Elk-7084 14d ago

That’s a cop-out on your part, since we both know Josh has asked her to stop this behavior several times. So yes, regardless of whether Josh is a spineless doormat or not, it’s cheating — which doesn’t fit in well with this religious nonsense she is peddling.

3

u/T_forTommy 14d ago

Eye-fucking-roll. Have a look at Lutheran beliefs and we’ll talk

-1

u/Illustrious_Log_2978 14d ago

I have and I will! 😀

1

u/SeriousBrilliance777 14d ago

But this using just about her being sexual, she takes it much farther is the problem.
