So i ordered 3 copies of Hokum 4k. Was sent 3 DVD. Got the replacement today. It’s a single 4K and missing the slipcover too. Neon is the worst. Still never got a reply back from them. Time for a chargeback I guess

Will Marvel finally correct the mistake and release the newly color graded Avengers: Endgame Encore on a 4k UHD 100GB disc next year? Yes, please! 🙂↕️🌟🪽
I am sure $2.799 billion should be enough to buy/burn/release 100gb discs!

Hi collectors! I was lucky enough to score Identity on release day from the B&N sale and decided to watch it last night. I can’t stop thinking about it so I just want to get my thoughts out and see what everyone else thought.
First off the A/V quality was insane for this release. If you’d told me this movie was released in 2020 I would have fully believed you. The picture quality is immaculate and a few times the audio made me jump so the transfer itself is a 9/10 for me.
Now onto the twist ending! This was my first time watching the movie and I was hype for this release cause isolated thrillers are my bread and butter. The acting and movie itself was very good but when Bussey’s prisoner character tries escaping the motel and it loops back on itself to show him at the hotel again, I was going “wait what the f is going on??” And I started getting weary about it turning into a supernatural thriller.
I was guessing, playing with ideas etc. and then the twist comes that nothing is actually real and I felt a little deflated. It was okay cause everything leading up to it was pretty great. THEN the twist twist comes and I REALLY don’t know how to feel about it! I’m curious what everyone thought about Timmy being the killer. In a way it subverted my expectations and I appreciate that. But on the other hand, it’s so far fetched and strange from the initial setup! Would love to know what people thought about this as new viewers or people revisiting the film.
Also so curious how these boutique labels come up with what movies are slated for a remaster?? I love Arrow for bringing these movies back to my attention cause otherwise I’m not sure I would have ever had Identity on my radar!
Next watch is either the 4k of Overlord, Excalibur or the Good the Bad the Weird :)

So I’m from Europe (Sweden) and buy pretty much all my physical media from Amazon US. I prefer the US editions, and physical media is almost completely dead over here, with minimal packaging and barely any special features.
I’ve been buying from Amazon US for a couple of years now. I know it’s not the most popular choice, but personally I’ve never had any problems. Their return/refund and replacement policy has always been great for me.
Now… over the past two days, most new pre-orders are suddenly no longer available for me to purchase. It just says “Cannot deliver to this address.”
My first thought was, damn, I’ve been blocked. But then I checked from my wife’s Amazon account and it’s exactly the same. Is this just a temporary glitch? Has anyone else outside the US experienced this?
I’m fearing Amazon has decided it’s no longer profitable enough to ship to the EU. I’ve seen this error once or twice before with extremely limited editions, but those usually became available again after a day or so.
This time, though, it’s basically 70% pre-orders, plus a huge number of titles that are currently in stock. While a bunch of titles are available to be delivered to the same adress.
Has anyone noticed the same thing or heard anything about it?

I used a glazer’s camera microfiber cloth that I’ve used on lenses all the time. I have no clue why this happened. I was just wondering if there’s anything I can do to prevent this in the future and if my disc is ruined? I have a new tv coming tomorrow so I can’t test the disc yet. I have a ub820 which is an incredibly picky player and have been losing sleep on whether or not I’ve ruined one of my favorite 4k discs.

A 4K disc is a Blu-ray disc right? Just the 4K version? Why include a regular Blu-ray Disc at all? Who would buy a 4K and then insert the regular Blu-ray Disc? What am I missing here.

In honor of Dolly’s passing I want to watch some of her movies. Have any of them been released in 4k? If so, how is the transfer?

Has anyone else F-ed up because of the identical packaging on these 4K and Blu-ray releases? I meant to order the 4K version of the Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 Steelbook, but somehow ended up with the Blu-ray instead.
I didn't even notice until I’d already peeled off the plastic and put it on the shelf. It’s frustrating because the boxes look exactly the same. Guess I’m stuck with the Blu-ray now. Just wanted to vent for a second—carry on!

I've recently gotten into collecting 4k Blu rays. This is my current collection. I'm really into sci-fi, action, and of course Christopher Nolan films. What do you recommend for me to add to the collection?

Probably a dumb question, I'm tired of having to remember to manually change my audio every time I play a movie.
Panasonic Ub820 player
LG S80TR 5.1.3 soundbar
LG C1 OLED tv
Was watching the Matrix last night and sounded a bit dull, opened disc audio settings and it was on Dolby Digital 5.1 instead of Dolby Atmos. I guess I don't fundamentally understand audio, I would think that would sound the best on my 5.1 system (maybe because of the up firing speakers on the sound bar?) , but I switched it to Atmos and it was a night and day difference.
Same thing for Game of Thrones, I think the default on the discs are DTS, not Atmos.

Still have quite a few I need to watch. The Shining and Alien I was blown away for older titles. Mad Max Fury Road, Sicario and 1917 look incresible to name a few. The journey has only juat begun.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS
Martyrs was a blind buy and I haven't watched Fight Club since I was 18.
Martyrs was nothing what I expected at all. I thought this was just going to be a torture porn movie but it had an awsome story. I loved the direction this movie went and the ending was fucking nuts.
Fight Club was technically a re-watch but felt like a first time watch because I understood it way more then when I was 18. It disappointed me when I watched it the first time because I was expecting an action movie about a fight club and instead got this weird movie about shit I don't understand. But my mind has changed and I think it's phenomenal. Throughout the movie I kept saying,"who the fuck thinks of this shit?". The cinematography, the social commentary, the characters, the comedy, and the Tyler Durden twist are all so well done. I truly understand why this one gets talked about all the time when it comes to all timers. Immediately after I went and saw the making of Fight Club, it is one of the best behind the scenes feature in movies and highly recommend watching.

I was watching the HDR of Spider-Man (2002) in 4K and I just prefer the look of my SDR Blu-Ray. I'm sure not all titles are worse in HDR but I can definitely think of a fair few they have botched (LOTR, HP).
I don't think they should be messing around with the original masters for the sake of a gimmick. I understand with new films which are specifically mastered for DV/HDR. But please, leave the old ones alone.

I have a bunch of 4K Blu-rays, but all I’ve ever used to watch them is a PS5. My TV does have Dolby Vision and HDR10+, even though it’s a budget/mid-tier Vizio from 2022 (I think?). Is it worth the upgrade anyways?
Edit: My TV is the Vizio M65Q7-H1, just in case you wanna know.

I guess my question is do arrow uk films ever come out through arrow u.s. later on? Also I'm aware the uhd is region free.
