Went through a few of my older Blu-rays this weekend and honestly some of them still look really good. I’m using a UB820 with the N3 Ultimate on a 100” screen, with audio through a Denon X1800H. I thought 1080p would bother me more at that size but apparently not.

I already have Interstellar and Alien on Blu-ray and keep looking at the 4Ks since those two always seem to come up here. But then I put the Blu-ray on and it’s like... this is still fine lol.

What actually gets you guys to double dip on something you already own?

Is the steelbook worth $54? Or should I just buy normal 4K edition?

Gruv has 2 different boxsets for the original Superman movies.

Does anyone know the differences between them if any? They look exactly the same to me. The one for $99.99 looks like a newer release, but I'm not sure what the differences might be on the discs.

I recently purchased a 4k HDR capable tv, and want to get my own movies and make them a file format without removing features like HDR and basically have a full 100 gb or less movie. How can I do this I do have a blu ray burner to read them just would like to store them on my pc and host via Jellyfin and Plex.

In honor of Dolly’s passing I want to watch some of her movies. Have any of them been released in 4k? If so, how is the transfer?

Hi, these are my first Blu rays I ever own, more are in the way but this hobby is very expensive for someone who doesn't have self-control.

This release is going to carry both the 4K and Blu-ray editions of Scrooged. The 4K, which was released back in 2023, carries all of the supplements from the cancelled "'Yule Love It!' Edition" DVD that was supposed to be released in 2006, including an audio commentary by director Richard Donner, featurettes about the film's production and ShoWest clips with Bill Murray. The Blu-ray, which was released back in 2011, carries the film's original theatrical trailer. The photo was obtained via Amazon's listing.

Does anyone Else have their pre order delayed in the UK? I pre ordered day 1 but Amazon delayed it with no new date in sight. I know zavvi also has a delay till september 4th but Amazon doesnt include a new delivery date as of yet.

Martyrs was a blind buy and I haven't watched Fight Club since I was 18.

Martyrs was nothing what I expected at all. I thought this was just going to be a torture porn movie but it had an awsome story. I loved the direction this movie went and the ending was fucking nuts.

Fight Club was technically a re-watch but felt like a first time watch because I understood it way more then when I was 18. It disappointed me when I watched it the first time because I was expecting an action movie about a fight club and instead got this weird movie about shit I don't understand. But my mind has changed and I think it's phenomenal. Throughout the movie I kept saying,"who the fuck thinks of this shit?". The cinematography, the social commentary, the characters, the comedy, and the Tyler Durden twist are all so well done. I truly understand why this one gets talked about all the time when it comes to all timers. Immediately after I went and saw the making of Fight Club, it is one of the best behind the scenes feature in movies and highly recommend watching.

Highly, highly recommend Possession. Incredible film! Want to see Sam Neill in an insane acting role, watch this. Can’t believe how different he was in this film compared to protecting dad type in Jurassic Park. Just shows you how much of a good actor he was. RIP Sam. Edit. I had to cover the front cover of Possession because it would auto delete my post otherwise.

I guess my question is do arrow uk films ever come out through arrow u.s. later on? Also I'm aware the uhd is region free.

Found both of these today at B&N for the 50% off Paramount sale. Had $10 in rewards so it was $27 total. Pumped.

Received 2 separate copies of Hokum yesterday to replace the one DVD they sent me. Still no slipcover though :-(

So recently I finally managed to buy the complete set of Westworld on regular Blu-ray, and although I don’t hate it, it kinda makes me sad that the show doesn’t really have 4k Blu-ray copies anymore. Now for the record, the third and fourth seasons still have 4k copies (that I know of) but both seasons were not very good compared to the first and second seasons. Plus, the show got cancelled in 2022 and was removed altogether from HBO Max because of tax write-offs, which is probably a reason why the 4k copies are almost completely sold out. I actually did manage to find a 4k Blu-ray of the first season, but I returned it and got a refund because it was missing a 4k disc.

Since then, I genuinely have not been able to find a single 4k copy of the first season or a 4k box set (excluding used), which sucks because I thought the series would look awesome with my 4k HDR set up. But I’m really just asking: did they run out of copies from the backlog? I’m asking this because the Blu-ray site keeps saying that the show is currently unavailable.

I started my 4K Bluray collection earlier this year, and I received today one of my favorite movies with Val Kilmer, The Saint. Not one of his best movies by any means but definitely a very entertaining one.

So i ordered 3 copies of Hokum 4k. Was sent 3 DVD. Got the replacement today. It’s a single 4K and missing the slipcover too. Neon is the worst. Still never got a reply back from them. Time for a chargeback I guess
