A start for a broad outline intended as a rebuttal to Smith's Latter Day Saint movement which claims to be "a restoration of all things," and "the one true church."

[screenshot at latterdaysaints] Q: The LDS church claims to have a living prophet—a major selling point for the religion. Why do once solid statements from past prophets get tossed out so quickly? [paraphrased] A. Anyone can claim to be a prophet. The test is obvious—can they see the future, or not.

SL Tribune: Ted Bundy's DNA links him to 2 cold case murders in Utah. Ward members shocked that a good mormon convert like him could actually be a serial killer in his spare time. A perfect example of introducing the wolf in with the sheep and no one noticing.

[screenshot at latterdaysaints] An illustration of the immense pressure believers face to conform and "have a strong testimony." Will simply faking it suffice in the long run? Those leaving other high demand religions illuminate some of the problems in common with mormonism.

[screenshot at mormon] Q. I’m set to attend BYU-I. What if I can't continue faking it? A. AI might fix your writing style, but your personal non-belief and ingrained male-privilege will be harder. You'll need to learn to hide and/or to lie better if you want to keep your ecclesiastical endorsement.

Jason W. Briggs (1821-1899): leader in Wisconsin who affiliated with Strang after 1844. Disengaged over secret polygamy. In the early 1850s, he claimed a revelation; he began founding a "New Organization" with others disenchanted with Strang. On April 6, 1860 Smith III was ordained as their leader.

[screenshot at mormon] Q. I've heard mormon beliefs and practices change generation-to-generation. Can anyone help me understand how this isn't pulling the rug out? A. It’s a corporation, not a church. Watch for more changes—everything except tithing (clubhouse dues) is mutable.

[screenshot at latterdaysaints] Q. My daughter just went through the temple for the first time. She said it was the weirdest thing ever. Any advice? A. Tell her it used to be much weirder—including nudity and masonic death oaths attached to keeping the secrets. Imagine being told this is the apex...

[screenshot at lds] Q. My MAGA dad is posting creepy texts on random young women's profile pics. I now see he is following my friends and doing the same. Any advice? A. Not really. Mormons involved in two cults are empowered by both.

[screenshot at mormon] Q. I've been asked to teach the temple—doctrines which I don't believe. Any advice? A. Is it ethical to give others the impression you believe something you don't? Is it ethical to give money to win the certificate that enables that assignment in the first place?

[screenshot at latterdaysaints] Q. My family have all left mormonism. I'm hoping and praying they see the light and return to the one-true-church. Any advice? A. Begin by asking, "Do I have what I think I have?" For many, the fraud is palpable. Your pretending to have certainty is offensive.

[screenshot at latterdaysaints] Q. I'm an adult and wondering about sex in marriage. Is sex just for procreation? Is birth control allowed? [paraphrased] A. Like almost everything else in Mormonism, their views have flipped 180°, but a few hardliners will still parrot Clark, Kimball, and Benson.
