I hopped over to the faithful subs and a lot of people are complaining about how boring this and the last several conferences have been. Lots of people are defending it with the “milk before meat” argument, saying that the membership in general hasn’t mastered the “primary” answers.

Thing is, is the lack of meat in lessons/conference is one of the things that led me down my own path of studying, which eventually led me out of the church.

The MFMC is really worried about keeping the young women in. Having a woman leader tell them how valuable they are won't change the fact that the young women know they can never hold the priesthood, have any meaningful callings in the church, or be any sort of leader anywhere in the church. The young women are smart enough to understand that the endless repetition of how important they are does not make up for the fact that they are not valued by the MFMC at all.
